This thread really ought to be stickied.

Does anybody know if there is an unstamped part for the bmw motorsport waterpump with the metal impeller?

The Rein OEM waterpump has a metal impeller but the metal is not as smoothly finished as the BMW Motorsport unit.

Good thread, but I don't know why you haven't updated the MTF oil for the manual gearbox, I've provided the info 2-3 times already in this thread

Has anyone found a replacement for the double studded rubber mount (aka bobbin) that holds the PAS pipe to the bracket? (which bolts to the subframe).

It's the part that nut, item no 15 screws to in the diagram below the PS pump in the op.

I've ordered a bobbin from GSF that they think is close, it's for an original Mini!
I'll find out what it's like tomorrow, hopefully! [edit] Nope, was way too big!

I ended up using a mount intended for a VW Passat 2002 engine cover, turned out to be a perfect fit, and slightly thicker so stronger!
You can get Febi ones (part no 23304).
And apparently the VW part no is 059 103 658A (which appears to be Febi anyway).
This shows the original BMW one vs the VW/Febi one (the original BMW one had sheared off through the rubber, I'd glued it with silicone, but it wouldn't have held for long).

[edit] If anyone wants an exact match and not one slightly stronger (why? lol), then this one seems to be the job VW 037 133 567F, air pump rubber mount apparently.

Also, has anyone ordered the INA tensioner pulleys lately?
I bought 2 today from GSF, the INA 5320557100 AC tensioner pulley and the alternator tensioner pulley INA 5320342100.

The alternator tensioner pulley was exactly the same size, although it did have a bolt with a large washer crimped to the bolt, it was easily screwed off. Much cheaper at about £20 , vs BMWs pulley and arm at ~£150!!

The AC tensioner was however a slightly smaller diameter (~4mm), that said, the pulley I had on there wasn't genuine anyway (although it was INA) so maybe that was wrong in the 1st place? (interestingly it was exactly the same size as the alternator tensioner pulley).
My car's build is 4/2008, which annoyingly is right at the change over point between 2 different PAS/AC tensioner pulley and belt config's. The belt on my car is a PK 1067.
Anyone know which size pulley it should have?

Yea I found that thread a little while after posting that message, and posted there .
But it's good information that you posted the link for others.

Btw, IIRC (I need to double check) I think mine is the earlier version, but doesn't have the offset pulley! Lol, someone prior to me had changed the pulleys and I'd just copied their mistake, doesn't slip though!

+1 on the Rein unit, not sure about their quality but that's the only one with metal impeller I found so far other than the Motorsport one that cost $700+ now...

Did some searching and believe I found the INA version of the later deflection pulley (after 4/29/08) BMW 11287841531:

INA 11287535860, 5320512100, FP05121
FCP: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...em-11287535860

I was able to cross reference this with the Duralast 231163 and Dayco 89163, which is a replacement for BMW 11287535860 pulley that others mentioned worked for them. I prefer sticking with the INA pulley and this fits the bill.

Will confirm in a few weeks hopefully:

Vaico DCT filters are made in Taiwan and not OE quality- confirmed directly by Viaco.

The genuine Getrag parts can be purchased outside the dealer network.

Those Vaico DCT filters gave me my biggest headache thus far with my M3... installed one, could not get it to seat exactly right and said fuck it... then DCT fluid spewed out of it and all over my driveway XD

Had to wait a week for an OE getrag filter which went in perfectly and fixed my issue. Left a nasty one star review on FCP Euro which they later deleted...

Why have you ignored the info I posted 3 times before about the MT LTF2?
Was it because of the 2 different Castrol names? I see I didn't clarify that previously, the 2018 (& 2019) ZF TE-ML11 pdf lists both the Castrol Transmax as well as the Syntrans. Here's the text from that pdf (I've also attached the pdf to this post) :-

Castrol BOT 338
=> BMW Oil No. 2300 7533 513 (clutch bell housing label MTF-LT2)
=> VW Oil No. N 05279800
=> Castrol Syntrans B 75W
=> Castrol Transmax Manual B 75W

I've provided multiple links regarding what the oil is, including by the manufacturer of the gearbox (ZF).
So at the least, Castrol Transmax Manual B 75W was the genuine OEM MTF LT2 oil.

This is the relevant text from the "List of lubricants ZF TE-ML11" 2024 (see link in my quote below).

S6-53
According to spare part number of vehicle manufacturer:
- Esso Gear Oil 304 / BMW Oil No. 2300 1434 404 (clutch bell housing label
MTF-LT1)
no longer available => replaced by Castrol BOT 338 (ZF approval number
ZF001053)
- Castrol BOT 338 (ZF approval number ZF001053)
=> BMW Oil No. 2300 7533 513 (clutch bell housing label MTF-LT2)
=> VW Oil No. N 05279800
=> Castrol Transmax Manual B 75W

- Castrol BOT 207 (ZF approval number ZF001069)
=> BMW Oil No. 2300 7533 818 (clutch bell housing label MTF-LT3)
Warning: use of incorrect lubricant can cause transmission failure

One addition for you, which you actually already have linked in your ZF oil pdf .
Castrol Syntrans B 75W is a direct replacement for LTF 2, and was originally the recommended oil by BMW, Castrol's data sheet still shows this.
Also the oil's viscosity ratings exactly match Castrol BOT 338's oil as shown in their SDS pdf, section 9.1 and listed in the ZF TE-ML 11 pdf.
Currently, the cheapest place to buy 1 ltr bottles of these in the UK is Broughton Lubricants, followed closely by Opie oils.

....
[edit]
The Castrol Syntrans B 75w has been discontinued in the UK, and Boughton Lube's state (a Castrol agent) that it has been replaced by Transmax Manual FE 75W, but that is not BMW approved.
Just trying to track down some Castrol Transmax Manual B 75W, which is proving easier said than done....... well it looks like that's been discontinued too , so there's no point adding the info to the op now (but their was 4+ yrs ago ).
I wonder if the VW numbered BOT 338 oil is still available (and cheaper than BMWs).....

I actually came back to this thread intending to see/ask if anyone's managed to track down an OEM supplier of the horns.
I see the original ones are made by FIAMM, pic of my M3's horn one and two, and No2 again showing the BMW part no.
Hmm, looking at the numbers on the top, the 2 horns are the same, I thought they were different tones for some reason.... [edit] yes they are 2 different tones according to realoem.
