My experience is that EDC changes high-speed compression in the struts. So over a big impact, the softest EDC setting "blows through" the suspension travel and feels kind of wallowy.

Hardest setting is much firmer, although I've found the suspension doesn't "crash" as much in city driving, so I actually prefer it.
I feel the most difference on rebound. So as the car goes over bumps and dips in the road, it drops with the bump/dip more quickly.

I'd like to take advantage of this feature but right now it's just another button I don't use.

The chart I posted seems to show high rebound changes with some compression changes naturally due to the adjustment.

I do feel the car lacked the ability to handle the high speed bumps as well as I would've liked.

Can someone with both OE rear upper arms measure the length of the bolt holes, center to center?

I am trying to diagnose but I believe my EDC is stuck on the sportiest setting after reading other threads about this issue. Going to try and disconnect the front plug and see if I get an error to make sure I don't have an EDC delete.

I have owned the E90 since August and figured the ride was normal for an M3 which is very firm but not terrible.

If it's deleted or coded out, the EDC module should be unplugged. It's just above the battery tucked behind the insulation.

Anyone running Ferodo DS2500 rear pads full time (street and track)? Feeling lazy for the occasional half track days I've been doing and considering just swapping fronts for those. I'll still swap fronts and rears for COTA or weekend events.

I used to do that. You'll be fine. The DS2500 falls off predictably when it gets hot, so even if you cook them you'll still have some braking.

PSA to any Hoosier users: 2021 price increase hits February 1, so it's time to get those orders in.

Any word on whether they're going to release the R8 before we all retire?

~200 treadwear tires see constant improvement and evolution, and then you want a little more and you have these BFG R1 and Hoosier R7 options which sounds great, but they are from the friggin stone age! Holy fuk!

The friggin BFG R1 is older than some people at the track!! Come on people!

So for those that don't think the carbon panel behind the rear seat works, just make a pattern and cut a piece of 3/4 plywood to size, bolt in and see if you feel anything. Yeah, it'll weigh more, but you can decide for $40 instead of however much the CF piece will cost. FWIW, I think it's genius.

BTW: on my E30 325iS, I put a TC Kline bolt in roll bar and it made a huge difference in chassis stiffness. How do I know? Well, before the cage I couldn't jack the car up from any jack point and get 1/2 the car in the air. With the cage in I'd jack up from the rear point and the whole side went up. YMMV on newer cars with much, much, much stiffer chassis out of the box.

I noticed my half cage pretty quickly.

Yeah, I don't think there was any doubt it works. My hesitation was in the assertion that bolt in cages provide little to no torsional stiffness, and the carbon panel is the better solution.

I am with you. I think the CF panel will help but it's not going to be better. I do wonder if it is actually worth it.

How do you know they aren't updating the compound? There are lots of tires that keep the same name but get small refinements over time.

I think they would have done a press release at some point explaining what they were up to. Like what happened with the old RS3

Fair point, but Hoosier is weird about things sometimes.

Related: I squeezed in my order for another set of stickers. :-)

The point of buying stickers is to win other stickers. My biggest problem is that ThunderMoose is probably going to be faster in the dry...
