Film/Haze/Streaks from car soap?

Hi guys, after I wash my car I always notice this chemical looking film/haze on the paint. I used to use Chemical Guys Citrus Wash and Gloss and have since switched to Adam's Car Shampoo for months now. I remember the CG would do this too and I assumed it was the "gloss" part that was doing it, that is why I switched.

I can get the haze off with quick detailer but I always miss a few spots and it drives me nuts when I see it days later.

I have Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax on the car. Wash towels with Tide Free and Gentle. Wash the car once a week.

It is most likely from hard water when you rinse. Get a water softener and try that.

I was thinking about this but thought the soap + not washing under the sun helps? Will try out those RV water softeners a try. Thank you!

Those help but SoCal has pretty hard water. If you rinse your drinking glasses under the faucet and it is not crystal clear when you let it air dry, you have hard water.

Using the quick detailer as a drying aid when you dry will help. Spray it onto the wet panel when drying with your microfiber towel. But this is just a band aid for the hard water.
