Clear Bra Quote

I was thinking about having a clear bra installed on my E92 M3. I was wanting front bumper, head lights, full hood, full front fenders, rocker panels, full rear bumper. I was quoted a price od $2000 which seems high. I appreciate thoughts and if anyone has a good shop in Tucson or Phoenix area.

If it's custom cut and it's done by a quality installer, that price is about right. It's actually a little low considering how much coverage you're talking about.

yeah thats a lot to cover and will more than likely take a while to install correctly.

why are you doing the rear bumper anyway?

That just shows you how regional pricing differs from one area to another, that would be very cheap out here for that coverage(SF Bay area).

Thanks guys........never purchased a clear bra before and trying to figure things out.

I really didn't want any exposed seems which is why I asked about a full hood and fenders. The rear bumper was for the same reson, in my searche many have said the paint take a beating behind the rear wheels.

Forget the rear bumper, if you're doing that much, cover the roof.

Yeah the entire rear bumper is overkill. They make rear splash gaurds that cover just that area. That will bring the price down and it is on par with what I charge and other installers in the DFW area.

Don't you guys realize it's much, much cheaper, to just get your front bumper re-sprayed after 3 years or something?

Just enjoy the car without the stupid clear bra, and dish out $300 for a new re-spray.

I agree and even mention that to one of my clients saturday. You cant polish it and get the shine out of it like paint obviously. So, if you do it, even if you do a full fender and hood, the door will look much better than the front end.

i never had clear bra before, does the clear bra actually take some of the shine away? i thought you can just wax your car then apply the clear bra to maintain the shine after every wash.
also what about those pre-cut ones on ebay, they are fairly cheap.
