Never Thought This Day Would Come; Sold Her For a GT4.
Well my fellow M3 N/A enthusiasts, I never-EVER thought the day would come to see my beloved '13 Frozen Grey, ZCP, e92 go away, but words cannot express what test driving a 2016 Porsche Cayman GT4 did to convince me. And as you've guessed correctly, that awesome BMW went bye-bye with a quickness.
Sure, I will most certainly remiss in all her glory; however, the pure "raw" sports enthusiast feel of the GT4 is simply no comparison what-so-ever. If anyone wants a serious deal on a <15K mile, Individual Frozen Grey Coupe in impeccable condition, complete with Brembo's, Akra cat-back, 382 Dyno RWHP, and a multitude of other "goodies/mods" (dealer may remove all the goodies?) head on over to Rusnak Porsche of Westlake ASAP before that extremely well cared for car is gone. My friends are shocked as I always swore the "Grey Ghost" would be in my life forever. It can be somewhat difficult to maneuver in/out of the GT4 carbon fiber bucket seats, but the perpetual smile on my face walking up to, driving/experiencing, and exiting this track beast is nothing short of pure auto-enthusiast satisfaction at its finest. This car is NOT meant for the non-track oriented folks that also want more than one passenger, and the naturally aspirated S65 e92 M3 shall forever remain close to my heart.

Very jealous! Would be awesome to get a review of the two and what really swayed you to the other side. I plan on making the move to Porsche after the M and would love some in detailed reviews. Also how much did you end up paying for the GT4 if you don't mind me asking? Thanks again and congratulations!!

At least you got a worthy car, not a Cadillac CTS-v or some nonsense. The cayman gt4 is a serious machine.

UPDATE
I asked myself why did I opt to trade-in the beloved e92? I had ADORED that fine automobile for many years. Well, it was the classic very late Saturday night at the dealership faux-pas. Soooo, I returned Monday, wrote the awesome dealership a check, and brought her back home. So yes, I now have two superb naturally aspirated Icons in the garage for now.
If the right/reasonable offer were to present itself, she may be gone again. Time will only tell.

I did 7 laps at LVMS in a Cayman GTS and it was the best. Very gratifying. So balanced.

Congrats! I actually did the exact same thing a few months back and picked up a GT4 in November. Just got rid of my E92 last month and it was a tough goodbye.
Only mod I've done are Fabspeed sport headers and all I have to say is wow.....car is incredible and sounds even better. |

Haha! that's a great turn of events.
I have both as well and I think the M3 engine is the special one, and if one has to go, it will be the GT4.

Congratulations on two fantastic automobiles! I am curious, how did this all go down with buying back the M3? Did they give you the car back on trade in value, or charge you retail?

I saw a gt4 at the track last week and went to test drive one yesterday. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be (granted I only spent about 20 mins driving). I so want to like it so I'll go back but may be because I've owned an 2003 boxster s and a 2005 lotus Elise I was expecting more from the car. It felt "refined" to me, not raw. Amazing car nonetheless. I"m also eyeing the 997.2 gt3. Congrats on keeping both. I certainly wouldn't trade my e90 m3 for a gt4 (need the back seat anyway).
