Southwest Ohio/Southern Ohio M3 Owners

Hello all,
Bought my first M3 back in June; really enjoying the ride so far!! Are there any fellow M3 owners from the lower part of Ohio still active on this forum?

Thanks,
B

Wow! Nice car. Looks like you've done several mods. They all look great btw (I love the bronze wheels!). What exhaust are you running?

I have some aftermarket wheels coming. The only other thing I have in mind to do is to upgrade the exhaust. I have yet to hear any other exhausts in person.

Thank you. I'm running an OG Challenge Race X-pipe and Challenge rear section. I also have a MPE. Both sound VERY different. The Challenge setup is excellent IMO. MPE would have been my pick when I was 25 years old. It's over the top with a full catless x-pipe for my current tastes.

Nice. Thanks for the feedback.

I've been debating between MPE and Corsa. I'll leave the rest of the exhaust stock.

If you're interested in selling your MPE, let me know.

I'm in the Cincinnati area. Driving an E90. Have the MPE with stock mid pipe. Not too loud in my opinion.

Nice to meet you drrust. Any pics of your car you can share?

Also, how would you say the volume of the MPE is compared to stock? Noticeably louder?

MPE is slightly louder, but it's been a long time since I had the stock unit on.

Here's a picture warts and all. Currently at 178k miles.

Looks good! I don't see 178k worth of miles on it.

What repairs have you had to do to it?

Rod bearings were done at 109k miles.

Picture is a couple years old, last time I was mulling selling it

Throttle actuators, fuel tank breather valve, water pump, air conditioner compressor, alternator, full suspension refresh with ZCP shocks, rebuilt drive shaft, ………

Wow! Doesn't sound like really anything out of the ordinary. That's good to hear the car will last well up into the high 100's or more with just routine repairs.

And you got 109k out of the RB?

Yes, 109k. Images on page 5 of the rod bearing thread. If I keep it will change around 200k.

Also forgot to mention I had done the brakes. Initially stock, but about 4 years ago put on a BBK (Sparta Tritons).

Cool. I have yet to do any. Where do you go usually? Any routine ones in the area?

Tabogo on 52 every Saturday and Sunday. And think folks still gather Crestview hills shopping center in front of Dillard's. I think that's Sunday as well.
