read the Top Gear review of the GTR... they loved it...even compared to the R8...

Its great and frustrating to have so many great cars in the same price range...

Of course its going to be very hard to get a GTR at MSRP

After watching this review, and the fifth gear comparo, I'm left to wonder how much of the C63 wildness is a result of it not having an LSD. It seems like the car is sooo tail happy and I have to believe some of that is due to all of that power going to one tire. My question to the track/engineering veterans is will an LSD help tame the car a bit?

I'm sure they have, most of the AMG cars have an optional Performance Pack that includes an LSD. I assume it will also be available for the C63.

Yes it will. None of the tests so far between the M3 and C63 have been done
against a C63 that had the optional perf pkg. I wouldn't be surprised if the C63
with the perf pkg gives a spanking to the M3 even in the handling department
as well.

Ive read much how proud you all are in bmw..

But the thing i dont understand is.. Why?

How many of you can beat a c63 in trafic? on public roads?

m3 handles better on track.. but how often can you test handling in a race on public roads.. and after the turns it comes a strait line and your m3 gets beated.

What i say is..
The c63 is gonna beat you in a strait line, redligt race.. hightway etc.

what are you using most? power or handling?

i like bmw. But its not a choice here if you are gonna drive public roads..

Mercedes makes faster cars.

Personally my M3 stock from the BMW is plenty fast for me on the road. I have nothing to prove to anybody when I'm out there driving it. I bought it not cause I wanted the fastest car on the road, but because I like the styling, comfort, the way it drives and everything else it offers. If I wanted the fastest best handling car on the road it wouldn't be a c63 either.

First of all welcome.

You're asking what's best on public roads? The answer is not to race any other car, no matter if you're in an M3 or a C63. If you think most M3 owners are set to race from one red light to the next one, you're mistaking anything.

Straight line from stop light to stop light, I would work a small block chevy for a small fraction of the price of an imported car and blow them all away. did that for years before owning a BMW

The c63 is faster, harder to drive. And just like he said in the movie " not a car, its a animal"



Witch car is most fun to drive on public road?

No idea, ive only drive the c63.

But it's faster and not as easy to drive as the m3. the c63 is more brutal.

i've get the impression of the m3 is abit wimpy next to a c63.. someone els?


And that surprise me. Mercedes has always been the old mans choice. The one who drives calm, easy. And just enjoy driving..

BMW has been a car for the more aggressive buyer. Harder, stiffer, faster.
Younger drivers.

the new m3 is typical BMW - awesome on the track and equally good on the road! it was 5 seconds a lap faster than the c63 and rs4 at the top gear track - that's an entire different league... anyone can put a big motor in a car and make it fast, it's another thing to make the whole package work. i give Merc a thumbs up for making the c63 fast, not they just need to make it handle...
