DEPO E92 Euro LCI Tail Lights Installed

When I first went searching for my M3, I thought "It must be a 2011!". There are many benefits to that year, but the tail lights are the most noticeable. I really wanted a set on my old 335i but had to maintain self control, I knew the M was coming.
Since I got an 09, LCI tails were a must!

I bought DEPO Euro LCI tail lights for 3 reasons.
1. Price, these were priced very competitively, especially for Euro spec.
2. Euro spec, I had to have Amber blinkers.
3. Availability, these shipped the next day.

Not much information on these forums for these lights, but after reading one review (Thanks @EzequielR ), and comparing prices, I pulled the trigger.

btw I HAD to have Euro LCIs. I wanted amber blinkers on front, side, and rear of my car, so going US spec just wouldn't cut it.

Results: AWESOME.
-The fitment was top notch.
-The appearance during the day and night is great.
-The light bars are fully lit and clear.
-The blinkers are bright Amber when lit.

Note about install: The lights come with a retrofit harness attached to the light, so it is plug and play (plus coding). But, mine had one of the electric modules hanging free, not attached to the tail light. I spent some 30 minutes trying to figure out what I was going to do with it! Some frustration... Finally, I affixed it to the inside of the tail light, where it belongs. I confirmed with another forum member that his were pre-fixed to the inside already.

Overall I am very happy with the purchase. Time will tell if the durability is up to OEM spec, but after handling these, I am confident in the quality.

Looks great! I debated these as well, but went ahead and got the OEM ones (non euro). Mine just came in today and looking forward to getting them on. They are both probably just as good as each other.

Got them from Unique Style Racing. They had a promotion for black friday so they came out to just over $400 shipped with harness.

They look really good but for just a little more you could have OEM, worth the extra $ to me.

I agree. For $100 more, better to go with an OEM set.

I've seen these before in person. They look good! The lighting on the light bars is not as even as the OEM ones but overall it's great.

As for others saying go OEM... these are equivalent to Euro tails and those cost more than regular American taillights.

Worth more money for an unknown amount of quality increase? I do not see the OEM set as 50% better (the Euro OEM sets run over $600).

See above. And until any quality issues arise with these lights, there is no justification for the price gap.

First chance I get, I will line these up against an OEM set. I would like to compare directly to see the difference myself.
With my eyes, these lights look like they are supposed to. No gaps or dimness in the lights that I can see.

As soon as I can do a side by side I will update this thread.

I had DEPO LED tails installed in my E46 for 8 years without a single problem. Not a drop of moisture in them and ran like a champ.

Here is a look compared to OEM ones as promised. It was daytime, so, hard to see any lighting, but the housings and insides look identical to me. The OEM US spec on the white car have the light red area over the blinker as well.

It says you drive a '13 335is which means you have OEM LED tails. If you are asking about the EURO style lights I purchased here, they were just over $400 and included an adapter harness which you would not need (since yours is already wired for the LED tail lights). It's plug and play.

All good. I have pressure washed, driven in heavy rain and sat in rain. No fogging or water entry. I love having the Amber blinkers!

do you know how to:
1. open your trunk?
2. turn a few screws? (requires owning a Philips screwdriver)
3. unplug stuff?

If you answer no to any of these questions, STOP, take it to a dealership.

draining part is easy, it's checking the level of the e-dipstick of the taillight lamp oil that's difficult. I think the oil required is kerosene?
