NO NO. That button on the end of your wiper stalk with the "A" and the LED? Press it and rain sensing/auto wipers is off.

You can manually flick the wiper stalk down each time you want the wiper to work instead of the auto wipers.

Correct apart from the "tighter to the rotor" part. The hot gases contribute to pad glazing which reduces friction so giving them an escape route limits this.

I guess that is why M3 brakes are consistent and with no fade (street driving)

I am very impressed with the stock brakes (again for the street), I think they are awesome and perform great every single time, even when I use them aggressively.

Thanks man. Since you can push the stalk up and down (but no detent), figured one of those might do that trick. What's the 'up flick' for? Same thing? Wish it was a manual 'on' feature. That way if the sensor ever craps out, you can still use the darn wipers. Thanks again.

This saved me a question to my dealer...I wondered what the deal was when my wipers were on and I could feel it in the pedal. Thanks!

I don't think it's the rain sensor, I believe it's the firewall. Do a search on e90 post and you should get your answer. It has been asked multiple, multiple times.

Here it is: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113955
