Awesome car! Congrats!

How do you like the ride on ZCP?

Also, I am debating about the aluminum trim vs carbon fiber trim with black interior. Have ever experienced glare or felt the trim was distracting in any way?

Love all the pictures!! Don't hesitate to keep adding more. I love how the dash and instrument panel illuminates!

Go for Aluminum, it really brightens up the interior. I love black, but carbon black on black is just too much. It looks just right with the aluminum, and not distracting at all.

This Aluminum trim in M3 seems much different than the one I had in 335i... The M3 Aluminum seems to be of a different shape, somewhat thicker and not as bright as the one in 335i... The M3 Aluminum is just different all around, it is brushed differently, seems tougher

I mean, the one I had in 335i was an awesome trim too, but it was the year 2007... this M3 is 2011... maybe the overall quality and kind of Aluminum has changed since 2007?

ZCP is absolutely awesome! I keep EDC in Normal Mode, as suggested by M rep... Sport Mode is for smooth surface race track... Even Normal Mode is very tough, but I love it,- perfect for me! I was taking this ramp turn going about 80 mph... these other cars were tailgaiting me before the ramp but there is no way they would be able to keep up LOL... This M3 felt as if it was glued to surface. Hey, 10 mm lower and wider offset and adaptive EDC,- all came in together at 80 mph turn!

99% of the time I keep it in a firm Normal Mode... Once I drove for an hour in Comfort Mode, but my girlfriend said she was starting to feel car sick... When in Normal Mode, I hear no complaints from her

Also... when I drive highway and EDC Normal, going 65... and when I accelerate to 90 mph, it seem as the whole car "lowers" itself... feels as if it "hugs" the road even though it's a straight away... don't know how to explain, but feels more stable and lower the faster you go...

And... one time, after some serious spirited driving in EDC Normal, I went to visit BMW of Tenafly, Michael Lyubimov,- the CA who sold me this M3... so, when he came out and looked at my M3 parked outside, he was shocked how low it was sitting in relation to "wheel to fender"... I had to concur,- it did seem unusually lower... and praking spot surface was very even. I don't know what to make of it, but I like it!

Interesting info - car sick in Comfort mode!

Lovely pics of the aluminum trim - it does look very solid, like it is a block.
It does look great in black interior.

Thanks!

dimabimmer, your making this wait very hard. But looking at you photos makes me glade I went with SG/ZCP combo. Have you given any thought to OEM CF spliters or spoiler?

I avoided the aluminum simply because the CA I worked with in '07 showed me that the seatbelt in his car scuffed his door trim. Basically people take their seatbelts off quickly and the latch slaps the door and scratches the aluminum. Not sure if this new stuff is coated or something to prevent that.

I really have an aversion to glossy carbon fiber, the stuff that looks like it has 2mm of resin on it and only used for decoration (function is another thing). Not sure if it's because it is so popular and looks cheap now, or just the "busy"-ness of the pattern. So I was surprised when I saw the carbon leather and really liked it. If you haven't seen it in person yet, do so. The pattern is much less distracting than carbon fiber. I agree that it wouldn't work best in a black interior.

I love the look of CF Trim... but it would not work in SG/blk.

Oh, I was thinking about spliters ever since I put the order on this M3, I think those look awesome! But now i have second thoughts,- not sure if those will rub off the concrete when I drive up my driveway. I already experience "very light scraping front bottom" when going up/down driveway.

Also, as suggested by M rep, before entering driveway and to avoid "scraping" I put EDC to all Spot Mode,- car stiffens up and I go up the driveway nice and clear

Love the close-up M3 badge in the rain. If I can make the proportions right it may be my new iPhone background!

58D Scout,

Just a friendly reminder,- you will be taking delivery of your own M3 in just a few weeks! thats when you'll have all the fun "getting proportions right"

However, you are right, the badge photo is kind of nice... if anyone interested, bigger size photo file is available

Congrats on the car! Keep the pictures coming. :-)

I'm on the verge of ordering and thought I had finally settled on the exact options. Now I might throw out the premium package if the speed cloth looks that good....

Yeah, I would definitely recommend Speed Cloth,- it is light, unique and more comfortable on back since it is a touch firmer than leather. All my friends are impressed with Speed Cloth...

There are 2 standard options you must have that go well together and complement the sportiness of M3,- CF Roof and Speed Cloth... and if in addtion to those 2, you also go with 6MT, then it's a perfect fit Don't forget, you save thousands $$$ when going with those options, so with the money saved you can get ZCP which is awesome!

(that's exactly what I did anyway...)

I like Speed Cloth as well, but wanted the Fox Red interior. Never had a car that was red inside, and wanted to give it a shot.
