Control Arms Refresh. What else while the car is jacked?

I’ve got an 08’ E92 M3 with 80k miles. I’ve already placed an order for a complete set of control arms for the front and rear as I noticed there were lots of play while doing the rb job. Also, I’m suspecting one of the rear control arms is causing a knocking sound. It doesn’t happen often but when it does, you can clearly hear it in the cabin coming from the rear.

Anyway, what else should I replace while I’m down there doing the control arms?

Appreciate your help. TIA.

I'm at a few more miles (100k) and am planning to tackle this next winter. Based on my research I'm planning to also do the German Auto Solutions front monoballs (in fact you can buy the TRW arms with them pre-pressed).

I'll also be sandblasting/powdercoating my rear subframe due to surface rust from the original owner winter driving my car (probably not a need in the UAE). You may want to consider doing the diff and rear subframe bushings while refreshing the control arms.

Is it really? Fcpeuro has a complete kit for the front and rear. Id assume many would have this done, if not, why would they have it in complete sets for the front and rear. Yeah, I’m planning to keep this car for a while. Might as well..

Speed sensors? ABS sensors? Thanks for the advise. Definitely be looking into that. Anything else? I won’t be doing the job till end of the year. Slowly accumulating all the parts I need so as not to break the bank.

Yeah I got a complete set from fcp (TRW). Keeping it oem.

That’s a good idea. Got to read up on bushings. There’s been mixed opinions on bushings, to either have them stock or of a harder material. Definitely consider doing those. Thank you.

If you're going that far what about the bump stops and rubber spring seats/top hats for both front and rear.. mine were real stale when they came off.

The short answer is that everything suspension related is likely to be similarly worn. You should consider going ahead and dropping the rear subframe and doing the bushings. Consider the shocks/struts as they will be worn.

I don't agree that preemptively replacing ABS sensors is worth the hassle. They are an easy swap when they have failed.

That said, there is a point when scope creep gets ridiculous. Getting the car in the air isn't hard.
