Wirtshaus in LA. Great german food (including vegetarian sausages and schnitzels), Bavarian pretzels and lots of german biers and other stuff. It's also a fun place to hang as it has big screen tvs for soccer, a ping pong table and other games! always fun

Also El Poquito Mas (a few locations) for great and healthy mexican food.

Then i have a few Szechuan restaurants which i don't know their names in San Gabriel area.

Too many around here to name

Joel Robuchon - Las Vegas (MGM)
Crustacean - Beverly Hills

Only been to Joel's once, but it was a phenomenal experience, and Crustacean I've been going to for the last 10-12 years or so, Garlic Noodles to die for.

I worked in Edison for years and haven't ever tried it. My go-to lunch spot in the Edison area is Roosevelt's Deli in Fords. They literally have the best potato salad I've ever eaten.

My favorite restaurant/meal was Alinea in Chicago.

https://www.yelp.com/biz/alinea-chicago

Bestia in LA is also amazing.

I also like a bunch of hole in the wall restaurants for a simple inexpensive meal.

Random ethnic restaurants in and around the greater Los Angeles Orange County area.

My parents used to own Wonder, so I'm a little biased

In S FL, I like Chops Lobster Bar followed by Capital Grill for steaks. Also tried III Forks recently and liked it. I liked Abe & Louie's but had a couple of bad experiences there. Long enough ago that it might be time to try them again, although I'm still kinda pissed. Domus in Boca is very good semi-fancy Italian, and I especially like the veal parm. I also like Lynora's in downtown WPB and Hillstone in Coral Gables.

In Asheville, we really liked Corner Kitchen but they let us down this past trip. Luella's BBQ, Vinny's (homestyle Italian) and Carmel's are always good. We tried a Red Stag Grill for breakfast and it was great.

I'm a pretty picky eater and think it is best to have several "favorite" restaurants. In my experience it is rare to find a place that has consistently good food and service visit after visit, year after year. They all seem to screw up eventually.

I got a great one... The local chain of Columbia Restaurants in Florida. I have mostly frequented the one just north of Tampa in Clearwater Beach, but I've been to the one in Orlando too. Really, really good food and service.

If you want a really good steak experience in South FL; I highly recommend RED on South Beach... it is arguably the only steakhouse that I will say is not overhyped in any way. The food is fantastic, the environment is great and the service is top notch. A close second is STK on Miami Beach... Prime 112 is a place that I would highly recommend skipping given that is more of a place to be seen if you think you are "cool"... In addition; ZUMA (Japanese) in Brickell has an awesome sampling menu where everything you try feels special... virtually everything else down here is overhyped.

I've heard of all of those except the last one and have had RED on my list to try whenever we get down to South Beach again. Also heard the same about Prime 112 from friends in Miami. We are in central / west PB County, and I drive back and forth to Miami enough for business, so South Beach isn't a spot we head out to for dinner except on an extremely rare occasions. We usually meet in-laws and Miami friends in Boca or Ft. Lauderdale. Hopefully RED is still good by the time I get there.

RED is good but I still think Prime is better. Trick is to go to Prime Italian (across the street from Prime 112) or to Prime Fish (one block west on Collins and is extremely quiet). My favorite pizza is Lucali and there's one in Miami Beach (Sunset Harbor) and i always take visitors there. Definitely second Zuma as an incredible experience.

Wow, I could devote a whole thread to pizza joints in the NY-Metro area! Here is a start...

Gramalidi's is a super-popular pizza place that is perfect for out-of-towners since it is "under the Brooklyn Bridge" and near Brooklyn Bridge Park with some spectacular views of the bridge and downtown Manhattan. They moved to a larger venue in 2011, but you should still expect a major wait. Cash only. (image attached, note the line)

https://yelp.to/qTKq/CxnDDA6joO

If you're in the southern part of Brooklyn L&B Spumoni Gardens in Gravesend is known for their delicious Sicilian pie. It's definitely a place I'll go when in the area.

I've never heard any official confirmation, but I always think L&B was the inspiration for the pizza place in the now-canceled comedy show Kevin Can Wait. The inside bares no resemblance, but the outside seating area looks like a carbon copy.

Yeah, I think Lemmie meedys good tips from the NYC area too.

We used to do this meal photo exchange thing. He kicked my ass every time and I'm a fucking food snob!
