that's one of my biggest gripes about the "luxury" makes that have a "normal car" division
I don't want an RL if the Accord has the same/similar interior I don't want a G35 if the Altima has a similar interior is350 and Camry...... |

Sort of looks like a Nissan from the exterior...kind of has the same look to it as the new Altima Coupe...I don't know if I'm feelin it yet.

Not bad for a Honda, but it still looks more downscale than Acura (which it should be since they're less $$); my wife's '07 MDX at least has the full faux (although it looks quite real) wood grain everywhere and the controls are a bit nicer. 280HP for the '08 Accord will be good for Honda to compete against the '08 Nissan Altima Coupe and Toyota Camry with similar HP.
Hondas are great for what they are...very reliable (probably the most trouble free cars), very safe, fwd, everyday low to mid priced cars that can be loaded up to have very similar features as more expensive cars. I swear my wife's old '05 Honda Pilot drove like a large Accord. Her new Acura MDX drives better and feels more upscale though.

On another note, your gripe is dumb, plain and simple. Acura, Infiniti, and up until a year or two ago Lexus as well are American brands. They're not luxury cars made by a "normal car" company. They're luxury cars made by a car company. Everywhere else in the world all the Lexus, Acura, Infiniti models are sold by Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. In the rest of the world there is no 'Acura NSX' it's a Honda NSX. There is no Infiniti G35, it's a Nissan Skyline. They created the 'luxury' moneker because American's are obsessed with status. No one would buy a $75,000 Honda or Toyota because they associate Honda and Toyota with a lower class of cars. You say "I don't want an RL if the Accord has the same/similar interior" It's the same company, it's like saying "I dont want a 7 series if the 3 series has the same/similar interior." Why doesn't that bother you? Because they're both BMW's?
