What in the world is going on with that interior? And now, it's official, Lexus looks exactly like Toyota - I'm seriously hardpressed to find any significant differences and I think that rear is horrendous...

it looks awful. why would anyone get this over a prius? or even an insight? is lexus abandoning l-finesse? nothing about the design says l-finesse. in fact it looks like the 21st century version of badge engineering.

Hybrids are so fucking pointless, people are so fucking stupid. I wish I could do a 'Hitler' except with all of the stupid people in this world. It would solve everything. Oh, yes, and I forgot to say. Lexus is teh sux. |

It's called aerodynamics. It just so happens that the shape of the Prius/ new Insight is one of the most aerodynamically efficient designs there is.

Agreed at first I thought Toyota rebadged the Corolla. I think it's hideous.

Because a typical hybrid car is designed to have the lowest coefficient of drag and maintain usable storage space, while a Ferrari has to deal w/ lift and drag while maintaining a exotic shape (and not necessarily useful *******. That's why lift/drag ratio is a big factor in racing design. Lift is a non-factor for pretty much any econocar, and looks certainly aren't the biggest factor either

That is one ugly car, GL selling that one.
You can talk aerodynamics all you want, you still need to sell the car. If the M3 looked like that I wouldn't buy it, it is ugly. The best car designers meet the styling and aerodynamics requirments. I think it might be uglier than the new TL. Hard to believe that. |

The new Toyota Prius that was just unveiled has a drag coefficient of just 0.25cd. These are the drag coefficients for the following four cars: McLaren F1 - 0.32cd Saleen S7 - 0.29cd Ferrari Enzo - .036cd Koenigsegg CC 8S - 0.30cd Not so funny now are you smartass?
