507 edition is the best C63 IMO.

People can say what they want I love my c63 lol... But I guess I am luck y to have both at the same times and I will say I'm glad the c63 doesn't have a dct.

Lol, wait til I get them spinnerz you sold me installed. Or is that ghetto, not rice? Am I even allowed to ask that?
We had a whackjob on mbworld flip his lid and threaten to go to a dude's house and beat him up for using the term ricer. I shit you not. So see you in July bitch...

We don't need people like rc here. I've proposed a lifetime ban to the mods.

The 507 edition is basically the 2014 version of my car. The black series is really the one you want.

I find black series to be a bit "too much" with the exception of SLS. C63 with that huge rear wing is just nasty

I agree with most of your points except 2!
I find the technology in the M3 to be more advanced and easier to use. The Command system in C classes are a bit difficult to use and the navigation is pretty bad. Second would be the engine, the C63 has an engine that suits it perfectly, more of a muscle car vibe. The M3 might have less torque but that is nicely suited for cornering, it is smaller and lighter. The engine has such a smooth torque curve that it does not upset the rear axle when exiting a corner while accelerating. The M3's engine would definitely not match a C63's personality and vice versa. I would say they are dead even when it comes to the engine (just depends on what you use the car for). I drive a C63 very often and love it, would love to own both ideally! |

you have to remember he was after a more drag oritented setup, in that case the c63 wins by a long shot. Its ridiculous amount of tq down low is perfect for that.

We spent the last three years just killing mountain roads in the M. So much fun. In that price range I can't imagine anything better. Unfortunately the mountains grew stale and I can't afford to track it, so for awhile I'm going to concentrate solely on speed. I'm sure when the mods end and drag racing gets old, I'll be back in a bmw. Been watching m4's on Autotrader already

My buddy only has a tune on his and is making 443WHP which I think is crazy. He put down 363WHP before the tune. I wish the M3 made that kind of power off of a tune. |

I was surprised at the power of a tune also but it's only because amg detunes the m156 for duty in the c63. The throttle butterflies only open 70-80% to keep hp numbers down so as not to compete with the development/507 package cars. A car like mine that already has that package doesn't get nearly as much from a tune unfortunately.

I just sold my E90 M3 and just recently picked up a 2012 C63 P31 with the factory LSD a few weeks ago. I completely agree with everything you said from the engine, DCT vs MCT, handling, and interior. The only thing I would disagree with is the brakes. I think the P31 brakes are better than the M3 brakes.
I have no regrets selling the M3. The C63 with the P31 package and LSD is an absolute beast. For my driving style the C63 is a better car hands down. I'm actually following your armytrix/plm header thread over at mbworld. You're the reason I'm going with the armytrix downpipe instead of LTH. I'm a budget modder as well when it comes to engine performance. |

Cool, what made you switch? I haven't really pushed the brakes too hard yet so take that part with a grain of salt. Daily driving doesn't feel much different but I haven't really given it a proper testing.
The armytrix/plm combo really woke the car up! I really can't believe no one has tried that setup before considering the price of longtubes. They didn't even pay the thread any attention really. I guess people love their lt's....but hell if I'm paying $3k plus! Last edited by Doc Oc; 04-21-2018 at 10:08 PM.. |

i still have (and enjoy) both cars and they have pretty different personality.
the first post sums it up pretty well! if you aim for a c63 you should definitely look for a car with the optional LSD installed! this car/engine without lsd simply does not work at all... i drove some and it is a pity it cannot bring the power down! |
