Reminds me of the turbinator I put in all 4 tips to mimic turbo sounds. Just as seen on tv!!

I guess when yours arrives you can let us all know what your before and after dyno comparison shows.

If you're referring to the Haimus plenum, I'm literally the 2nd to last on the list… but, if someone wants to trade spots with me, I'll dyno before/after on the same day

It's just baffling to me that nobody who has gotten it has not done it yet.

If you want a Logo'ed one, I would trade my spot with you. I'll be out of town for a few weeks starting mid-week next week. I don't think I will receive my plenum by next week so I'm in no rush.

Ahh I would like to take you up on that, but I'd really prefer a blank version since I'll be applying a BMW M Power decal to make it look more OEM in case a trooper decides to want to inspect or visual for smog.

Indeed this is promising. Thanks for sharing. I too am not looking for astronomical gains, but rather assurance of no losses.

Btw… Haimus does proclaim that the gains are significantly higher with a proper tune…

From 4hp to 15hp (once tuned), and from 18tq to 25tq (once tuned).

There is an Alpine group buy happening right now in case anyone else wants to join to maximize whatever gains this does bring.

Well if the gains are not there, there are seriously cheaper options for same result (sound). The plenum manufacturers said they had a 18 ft/lb of torque increase delta on the low end. That is pretty significant and I have not seen it independently measured as such yet.

So without actual results, it is just for sound which I like but always want a small boost with it.

You guy see the intake elbow to pair with the plenum?

I DM'ed Haimus on IG and they said it's going to be coming out soon

Wondering if there will be GB for this also?

Just popped on the forum and saw the discussion about power figures.

Here is an independent apples to apples comparison from gh0stm3 on Instagram, done on the same day, just before and just after changing the plenum over. It is taken from this post:

I hope this helps .

I also want to apologize for the delays we are experiencing. We are very close (80 km away at certain points) to a geopolitical conflict happening in a certain part of the world and carbon materials, metals, resins and everything else which is used for the conflict has become increasingly scarce and insanely expensive to come by. Since we are very close, a lot of deliveries from Japan and other eastern countries have had to be rerouted as well, which has caused delays in detailing materials, composites etc. by weeks in certain scenarios.

Thank you all for your patience, we are doing what we can!

And yes, a carbon lid will be released in the next few months as well. Intakes will also be discounted for people who already own a plenum. Orders for intakes will be prioritised for plenum owners. Once these orders ease up, they will be opened to everyone else.

From my understanding the Alpine tune is airbox agnostic and is only a tune to enhance the sound not performance. I wonder if the tune Haimus mentions needs to be particular to get the most of the airbox and not what's offered by Alex at the moment. Would love to see a before/after dyno with the airbox itself and a third with the airbox + Alpine tune to see if it gives additional gains.

Thanks for chiming in and posting those details. Many of us are excited about the Haimus design, and curious about real world specs.

Alpine tune is agnostic and won't change the performance with/without a different plenum? 🤔

My plan is to connect a logger to log my precise engine data, and send to Alex for a truly custom tune. The logged data should reflect a new plenum design, and hence impact the tune that he will do.

I was planning on dynoing at each of the three stages (current state, Haimus, Haimus + tune).

From my understanding reading different threads and even responses from Alex is the Alpine tune specifically for the plenum is for sound only on aftermarket plenums.
