We spoke on the phone, but it is a good question so I will post here too. I expecte ride to be similar to the PS2. Testing will let me comment further, but that likely won't happen til Summer.

This tire is not targeting the extreme performance group (AD08, RE11 etc) that prioritize grip and handling at the expense of comfort and quiet, although it may have enough dry grip for some people to cross-shop them.

Good luck getting that $70 rebate. It must be from stock as of 4/6.

That would suck. I have a set on order. I was hoping as long as they were ordered by 4/6 that the rebate would apply. I guess it is going to depend on whether the purchase date is the date they were originally ordered or the date that the CC is charged and the tires shipped.

How will the wear life compare to the AD08 and RE11?

Should wear better in street driving. Harder to say how they'll wear on the racetrack.

The rebate will depend on the ship date. So most sizes will likely miss this round of the rebate. Last time it expired, they re-started it shortly thereafter, but there is never a guarantee that they will continue doing so. If they did extend it again, it would probably cover the arrival of most sizes, at least the first shipments.

Better grip with the potentially better tread life. I hope it proves to be true! We also need to hope that they make enough of these things that they won't be back ordered for the first year!

I just ordered a set today, as well as some mxv4s for my v6 camry. I sure hope Michelin will restart the rebate to coincide with the PSS delivery to Tire Rack!

Ben, my shop has 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 sizes on order for me (non-M fitment) do you think these will be some of the sizes that come in mid-april?

I can't swap out my winters until these babies come in

Hi Ben,

Do you have any idea if Michelin plans on creating the PSS in a 285/30-19 fitment?

285/30R19 has not been announced yet. It could happen, but I'd figure no sooner than 6 months, and that would be if they announced it fairly soon.

235/35R19 is in our warehouse as of this writing. 265/30R19 should see some in April, but very very small quantities. Depending on who they ordered from and how early they ordered, they may or may not get them from the first deliveries.

Looks like 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 are expected tomorrow. Hopefully that's accurate. Glad I ordered early.

so is the gist that they will handle better in rain/wet than the PS2 tires and have longer wear rating?

I am getting a new set of tires soon, and was considering the Conti DW but maybe now the PSS.

I don't track the car so it's just real world driving, but I want wet water handling to be as good as possible, in other words, I want to feel confident at highway speeds in the wet.

It sounds like the PSS is making the claim for the best all around tire (while the Conti may be the best bargain tire something like $300 less a set 25% cheaper for the set). I am at the point where I don't know if I want $300 to be the deciding factor.
