Lighter battery option - B
Just wanted to report, that lighter 60Ah S5 A05 BOSCH AGM 60AH TYPE 027 S5A05 works absolutely well on my M3 E92. I have used it about full year, through the cold winter. Started my car at -10C (14°F), no problems and no errors.
Li-Ion car batteries cost roughly 1000 € and weight ca 3 kg or so. I did not go to this direction in my weight reduction progress. Instead, I chose more economic way to switch heavy 95 Ah lead acid battery to 60 Ah battery. Before: 95 Ah; 26 Kg After: 60 Ah; 16 Kg Weight savings: 10 Kg

That's a pretty good weight delta for a reasonable price!
