what's it worth? 08 e92 VF650 83k miles

Like the title says, what would you pay for it? I haven't gone to look at it yet, but wondering if it's even worth my time. Depending on how long the supercharger has been on I'm guessing this car could end up with a pretty hefty repair bill not too far down the road.

Here's the description, it appears hes doubled the retail value on his mods:

Up for sale is the only vehicle I never thought I'd sell, but I promise you'll never stop enjoying it.. Only selling to fund a twin turbo project for my Lamborghini Gallardo

83,242 Miles/ red baseball glove leather interior

The Alpine white 2008 BMW is THE perfect machine, with 650 horsepower, dual-clutch F1 transmission, and the best sounding $13,000 Remus exhaust system you'll ever hear (the downshifts will melt your brain)...

Car was shipped to VF engineering (the best quality BMW supercharger manufacturer) and their flagship VF650 kit was installed along with an extensive tuning soft/hardware at a total cost of $26,400. Remus exhaust, carbon badging, P3 gauges, OBII interface, line-lock, and awesome side/front splitters.

Accepting offers, and here is your chance to own a car that would frequently go in the 50s and 60s on eBay , for a fraction of the cost. The car runs a solid 11.2 quarter mile consistently and I would drive to California and back. you can also throw in some race gas, and slicks oh, and break an e92 world record fairly easy..

cheers! And let me know if you have any questions

"VF650 kit was installed along with an extensive tuning soft/hardware at a total cost of $26,400" seems extremely high, but maybe some of the VF650 owners can chime in...

yea i agree that it seems high. He said he had the heads ported as well when it all happened so maybe he actually did a bit more than just slap the blower on. I'm assuming he included all the mods in the 26k price and wondering if he meant 1300 on the exhaust. he's asking 34 as you can see in the add posting above. I was thinking 24ish? kbb is 20k and we all know you don't get your $$$ back on mods.

I think 24k is a tad low, even with no mods. See below for an M3 that sold with similar mileage/year. I doubt he'll sell for less than 30k imo, but their is limited details of the car in the ad for anyone to really price the car appropriately.

update - talked to him and he found a gallardo that already had a TT kit so that's why he's selling his current. already bought the new one.

What's everyones opinion on what the car is worth. Rough estimate. I know there isn't a lot of info to go off of. I'm gonna go look at it next weekend and can snap some new pics then

Exhuast full + VF650 (all used) = around 6500 - 8k. New kit is only 12,000, maybe another grand for the P3 and little goodies.

Car... w/e KBB says.

I had a 2010 E93 (black/black with dct, cold weather, etc) and I sold it stock for 23k at 93k miles to carmax (KBB was at like 24k) so Id say high 20s to 31k would be a fair price.... anyone care to chime in to my opinion?

Garage List
That car is worth less than a stock 80,000 mile M3. Why? Seller is a liar. Who knows what else he's lying about.

Am I the only one who noted this in the ad?

"the best sounding $13,000 Remus exhaust system you'll ever hear"

I didn't know Remus sold a 13k exhaust system.

I'm going to go check it out on Sunday. Would definitely appreciate some more feedback on pricing!

and there are definitely some inflation in his post, but overall he seems like a pretty good guy. He's meeting me half-way to check out the car this weekend, told me he'd take me for a ride in his new TT gallardo he just picked up, and even offered to write in a clause on the BOS that if there were any major failures within the first year that he would give me back a set amount of $.

I would run away from this guy. Too much inflation means not honest seller
