Also interested about how much they charged. I was looking for a place to do it in GVRD but never know where and for how much.
Which one did you do also for the OEM mod? Replacing the perforated section in the middle? Or just straight pipe out. (hopefully you get what i am asking xD, dont know how to really word it). Thanks! Cheers!

Wow... sorta pricey was hoping for something like $2-300 lol as that is what our brothers south side pays usually for the same job.
Maybe i should DIY it.

You don't need an exhaust shop to do this, just go into the local classifieds and find a good welder. You'll probably have to remove the muffler for him/her but it won't cost you $exas.

know anyone that you can refer and quote us a price? I dont mind removal and all, its the welding part that scares me (my buddy do have welding machine that i can use free of charge, but i dont think im capable of DIY'ing it).

Any updates here? $500 CAD is actually less than I'm finding here in the Seattle area. I'm considering getting it done there

Sorry for not providing an update. I ended up having the two pipe method done but it's not as loud as I want it to be. I will be getting the ACM method done once spring comes around. I won't be naming the shop where I got it done from as I wasn't too happy about what was done but I don't think it was purely their fault. I will be looking for another shop to open it up again to have the ACM method done. |

Just took a lot longer than I was told. Not a big deal which is why I won't name the shop. My car is not insured for the winter but I could meet up once April comes around. |

I did the method where you remove the two perforated pipes and weld in solid pipes.
I did everything myself except for the welding part. It was quite cost effective. I don't even rememeber how much I spent. The solid pipe was off ebay and I believe the shop only charged $75 to seal it up after I had cut it open and cut the solid pipes to the perfect size. If you don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is a good alternative.
