I removed whole parts of A/C and HVAC. And I'm still using stock power steering pump perfectly.
What year was your car produced?

I've also done what maicol76 did. AC and HVAC fully removed - compressor, all lines, condenser. If you have a 02/2008 or prior build date car (I believe it's 02/08) then it can be easily done. Simply can remove the AC compressor and run a shorter belt - new cars are different and I believe Bimmerworld said it's not as simple when we spoke with them. My car was 01/2008 so it was a straight forward delete..

It should be no problem then. You'll just need a new, shorter belt once you remove the compressor - I believe it's a 31.25" you will need, I can double check and update this post later tonight.

Just depends on the belt routing. But should be able to.

You should measure the length of belt.
In my case, my M3 is 2011 LCI, so I changed P/S pump to older ver. pump(like yours), measured the belt length, bought belt and finished installation.
