I can't tell if I love it or hate it. I think it has to be seen and felt in person. Probably feels nice while driving.

these refurb wheels are all e9x Msport wheels. they never use m3 cores. i learned this the hard way with my DCT, as they figured sending me a Msport paddle wheel would be the same thing....its not.

It seems centered. I really like it man. My current wheel has significant wear on it. Also it is a reconditioned wheel (re wrapped).

Feels incredible. The heavier weight and it being a significantly better grip for anyone with bigger hands. I also have my servo stiffening at the highest level. I like my steering to feel like the Flintstone's car.

Yeah, the main difference is the wheel being noticeably heavier and thicker which is exactly what I wanted. I sold my OEM M wheel for under $200. I'm much happier with this.

What was the issue for yours?

Mine had hole cut-outs, and I just swapped my paddles and wiring in.

There is no issue with fitment. It looks like it would have been an OEM option from factory.

I didn't bother using my torque wrench (which defeats the purposing of owning one), just brute force and mental torque.

It's a super easy swap. The toughest/most annoying part is the release pins on the airbags.

When you put the airbag back in, make sure the wiring is out of the way otherwise it'll pinch and clip them and you'll be stuck soldering them back. Happened to me when I swapped my OEM paddles to extended carbon fiber paddles.

Were you able to use the new harness in the new steering wheel as plug and play???? Just making sure there are no road blocks lol. I live in the City, but will going to a garage to do the swap. Rather not do this in my parking garage lol.

Looks great! A nice thicker wheel is something most people upgrade for, and you got the cost of your wheel back that sounds like a win all the way around.

The cut outs for the paddles are a different size on the M-sport wheel VS the DCT wheel. So there were gaps around the DCT paddle bases. even though i could not see it on the car, it bothered me.

Ugh, okay. I see what you're saying now. Yeah, to me personally, doesn't bother me at all since the only way to even see it is by removing the entire wheel.

Can you get some closeup shots of the stitching? Would you say it is of equal quality to the OEM stitching?

I just installed the wheel about an hour ago. I live in downtown Chicago and did it in my parking garage. The install went well, I used the DIY for the Nelson racing wheel and various other DIY's.

Same tools also. I used a breaker to break the steering wheel nut off with minimal effort. I then torqued the new on on to about 46lbs.

The images are attached below. Please note that the blue stripe in the center is centered correctly, I just have the wheel rotated slightly. Its an optical illusion.

I went on a test drive through parts of the city. I really enjoy this wheel, as my old one had significant wear.

The grips fit my hands great and I feel very confident with the form fitting. The flat bottom takes a fl it of getting used to on turns, but I think its great. Its a good upgrade.
