Hello all! Long time lurker, first time poster. Just ordered my '08 coupe on Thursday. Looking forward to making (useless) contributions to this community.

Here's the specs:
  • Alpine White exterior
  • Fox Red interior
  • Carbon Leather trim
  • Premium Package
  • Technology Package
  • Extended Leather
  • 19" Alloys
  • Heated Seats
  • M-DCT (schwing)
  • iPod/USB
  • Extended Sound

I'm also going to be doing a Performance Center Delivery, an experience I've gone through once already with my 2005 M3 Coupe and something I'll never pass on again as long as I purchase new BMWs.

Welcome. Those are allmost exactly my specs; good taste! I'd do PC delivery, but it's about a 2,500 miles trip for me, and my wife is not fond of long car trips.

Thanks! I actually ordered from Moritz BMW in Arlington, TX. My uncle had spot #2 reserved but did not want to fill the order. So, when it came time to spec out the car, I called the dealership and set it all up. So far they have been great to deal with.

My current M3 I purchased new from West German, but I would highly recommend avoiding that dealership at all costs. At one point they were great to deal with, but the headaches I got from the service department were more than I could bear. I purchased my 325xi CPO from Thompson BMW in Doylestown and they have performed routine maintenance on my M3. They have been stellar so far!

Perhaps. I have the memory of a peanut.

Which dealership do you have an order with? Have they told you what slot you have?

Nice specs! Are you copying me? Minus the extended leather and trim...you have great taste!

Yes, you are actually the reason I joined the forum. I figured I'd have to compete with your order so I spec'd it out nearly identically

I originally had my order in for Silverstone II on Palladium Silver, however I already have a TiAG 325 and a Silver Gray M3 - I wanted a change. That, and the fact that BMW didn't have any M3's at the stupid Philadelphia Auto show, I'd have to order the color sight unseen. The pictures of SSII don't seem to capture the true color, and I'd rather play it safe and still have it look ridiculously gorgeous.

Of course, like me, you havn't seen Fox Red yet, either, so that's a leap of faith considering how much it varies in photos! I do a bit of photography and I finally got comfortable that I knew what photos it is accurately portrayed in, and went with it.

You are correct, sir! I'm thinking that the most accurate picture found of the color to this date is this one:

And this one looks a bit overexposed, similar to how my Imola Red interior on the e46 would look in photos:
