Temporary repair to under body panel and removed side skirts to clean the dirt out from under and seal the paint beneath them. Never fails. As careful as I alway am, I can never seem to hang on th the center dowel for the push rivets. I always misplace one. When you order spares. Buy two at a time. Two is one, one is none.

Throttle actuators. Followed the FCP video. Easy Peasy (well, I’ll start another post on what went wrong). 3 hrs taking it slowly.

CCA was the intro to my track life. Which has been a pretty significant development of new friends, skills, and a large loss of personal savings…

You might want to consider inspecting your cylinders with a bore scope to ensure your cylinder walls are not scored from being washed with that much fuel. Bore scoring has been demonstrated to cause loss of compression in a few members engines recently. It’s a problem for the S85 powered community too. As is the risk of hydrolock depending on how much fuel leaked in.

let me tell you my history. first trip I made was luckful. I purchased the car about 1000 km from home. flew there, got the car, and came home driving. car was badly maintained, so it didn't have triangle sign, or spare tire, or jack, or puncture kit, tow hook, anything. i was a reckless youngster at that time. nothing happened, i got home happy and joyful. second long trip I made, this time more conscious, about 800 km, had all tools in the car, but not a spare coil, guess what happened? cyl 5 coil's out with 120 km remaining to arrive at the destination. had to drive all that distance with cyl 5 shutdown where I got a replacement coil. third long (not much) trip, 350 km, i ran over a dog on the highway, broke radiator lower bracket. Didn't figure it out at the moment (I stopped to see, dog walked out relatively good), followed the trip on, radiator hose made contact with the ac pulley, made a puncture on the hose, lost coolant fluid. PITA, silver tape on it, zip ties on the radiator bracket, finished the trip, and got home putting tap water in the reservoir each 50 or 100 km, because I didn't take coolant or distilled water with me. fourth long trip, last week, had two spare coils , bottles of coolant and distilled water, broke a read right control arm bolt. discovered that the last owner put a helicoil due to damaging the M12 thread that holds the bolt, drilling and taping it to M14, and as it's got less threads than the knucle itself, it overcharged the bolt threads, and several years later, it broke in a long trip. 7 hours later I managed to extract the bolt, get another helicoil and M12 bolt on the road and took the trip ahead. that was a trackday trip, and I did not let that occurrance prevent me from racing. that's the video a posted one or two pages before this. when I got home I removed the helicoil, and made use of the M14 thread, putting an M14 bolt, drilling the control arm bushing to 15mm. don't judge me, thanks, a new knucle will arrive in Brazil for about $2k, I won't do that for now. so. bad things happen - or not - in long trips. put some tools and items in the trunk.
