Hear some exhausts in Chicago

Anyone in the Chicagoland area or in Chicago have any aftermarket exhausts I can hear? I tried the Borla S-Type but it droned, and now I'm worried about getting another exhaust that sounds bad.

Right now I'm interested in the
M- Performance exhaust
Dinan Free Flow exhaust

I've got the Megan catback exhaust and no other engine mods.

I have a bypass mod with test pipes, I love it. I've had the akra evo in the past, it's a great system but pricey, I had the corsa axel back with a MS xpipe amd test pipes and that was setup was loud as shit but sounded amazing but it got drones at times. I've had the AE which was nice but a little droney. I had the challenge exhaust which was super droney. I had the ACM mod which sounded awesome but only if you are going to leave the rest of the exhaust stock, otherwise there is a lot of rasp. I had the Megan, it was nice, too tame in my opinion. I think that's it.

Where did you get the bypass mod done? Nobody seems to want to do it.

Unfortunately this is out of my price range, I'd rather roll with a supercharger. Hope you're enjoying it though.

tareemaa, thanks for this useful info (detested the stock rasp in my e46M3). I recently added the ACM mod to an otherwise stock system. Love it. Just the right aggression, on demand. I will figure on extra cost if I decide on further exhaust mods.

Exhaust mod would be perfect. Sounds great.

Mine was done by the previous owner. Did you call Zima? They should be able to, I've got to say, with all the exhausts I have I don't think you can beat the bypass mod with test pipes.

If you are doing the M Car Control Clinic at Arlington Park tomorrow, my car will be there. I installed the ESS axle back exhaust mod 3 years ago and it has only gotten better with time. No drone, not too bloody loud but a great sound from idle to WOT

You have my number, I'm relatively free this weekend. Planning on doing a detail so I'll have the car out and about.
