M24 hoods are gorgeous! I've debated having this imported a couple times and shipping is prohibitive. This is a great route for someone with matching paint!

Looks like they use the stock aluminum hood as the frame and lay the carbon on top? Or is it truly 100% CF?

Thank you! It's made on an order basis from a stock mold in CFRP. They use dry carbon in the inner (in between top and bottom) for structural rigidity.

Perhaps I am mistaken but looking at Motorsports 24 site the cost of the hood is ~$1900 USD so even if it was $500 to ship likely closer to $2500 USD landed?

You're incorrect to think shipping/landed is $500. Shipping alone is closer to $2k due to the size. Additionally, there is custom fees that is added once it has landed as well. Hood then needs to be smooth out for paint along with the vents that needs to be completed individually by hand.

Concur. Got a recent quote from them and shipping was the price of the hood… Plus it's gel coated so requires prep and painting.

i've been talking with m24 and got quoted $2k for shipping on a hood/trunk. this pricing is ideal for someone that has an alpine white car. i've seen this hood in person and it looks great. seller is also a solid dude.

It's different and wouldn't fit an E90.
