Leaf Blower
Half way through washing the car it started raining, so I finished quickly, did a final rinse, and pulled it into the garage. I didn't have enough towels to dry her off, so I grabbed my electric leaf blower and went to town.
I can't believe how well it worked!! It took just a few minutes with the leaf blower before I had it completely dry. I'm also guessing the Opti-coat had something to do with how easy the water shed off. All i need next is a pressure washer and foam cannon and i'll be set for the summer! |

This is the number one benefit IMO. I still follow with a towel on the glass, and microfiber with quick detailer for the carbon roof.

I've been using a leaf blower since 2004. It's great because you're not touching the paint with a possibly contaminated cloth. I use a large waffle weave microfiber towel for the areas tha still have a few water spots.
Just make sure you clean/replace the filter as you don't want dirt, etc. being blown at your paint at a high velocity. |

One reoccurring idea that I hate about the leaf blower is that the air is unfiltered and I imagine I'm throwing dust on to the paint.... I'm just OCD I guess

why not make a filter? My homelite is a bottom feeder and now that you've mentioned it, I think I can easily fit a thin, unobstructive filter over the bottom

I want to get a Deionizer filter with filter housing, and connect it to my hose outside: no water spots whatsoever. I can use my shop vac to blow air out and dry my car. Thus reducing swirls.
