Roll on the 513M!
I picked up a setup of 513M's today from another forum member. The 513M is the or one the 18 inch wheel options for the F80 M3/4. The timing was good because I needed tires anyways. I prefer 18's overs 19's and run APEX 7's at the track but really like these look of these and am getting a bit tired of part of the "me too" crowd when it comes to APEX from a visual stand point. They are staggered, 9 inch front(255/40) and 10(275/40) inch rear. Forged, super light and just one more option for people who like 18's.

MY GOD THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT!!!
are you lowered? 10mm spacer enough for clearance? Is it possible to fit wider spacers to give it bit more stance?

Don't jack my swag
Yes, I'm lowered on just springs. You could put a 10mm in the front and maybe a 15-20 in the rear of you wanted the wheels all the way to the edge. Last edited by Shaung; 09-27-2015 at 10:25 PM.. |

The tears are ET40, fronts are et31 or something much closer to e9x m3 stock wheels. . So a 15mm spacer will make the rear wheels fit just like the ubiquitous 18x10 et25 wheels so many people use for track and street upgrades
These are really impressive wheels for an OEM wheel. Just over 20lb (about 4-5lb less than the 219M) and look great IMO. Definitely will be on the lookout for a set as they come down in price over the next couple years. Also a great autocross wheel option for people running in F-Street.

Looks great man
I may consider getting these as a back up, I love the design of the wheel.

Curious why you're running 255/40 and 275/40? That's quite a difference from stock. Most folks go 10mm wider to 255/35 and 275/35.

No. Stock is 245/35R19 and 265/35R19. My point was that the increased aspect ratio AND increased width is an unusual choice.

These are 18's. So the stock 18 tire size is 245/40/18 and 265/40/18. So these are only one size larger front and rear over the stock 18's. Seems like a normal and logical upgrade.

Ah, thanks for clarifying. I keep thinking of the factory 19" sizes.

Yes, it really does update the car. These wheels are the BEST wheels, EVER! It comes with the M4 for a reason. I'm always baffled when I see people going with 19s, or 20s. I mean common guys, 20s? Seriously? I mean, just think about the weight factor. 1 extra lbs in wheels is enormous. Imagine 4-7lbs heavier. It's nuts how much performance you'll loose with 20s. The performance with 18s is a million times better. (Speaking from experience) The ride is better, the noise level is super-low, and the feeling of having a thicker tire is so comforting.
Definitely an upgrade. |
