^It's on my list of like to do one day. I'm actually curious why no US based companies seem to offer it and every very built car in Europe runs one. I don't even see many US based builds using those parts. Most of the guys here are low enough too I'd think fixing the roll center would be a good thing.
Does the E9x have bad bumpsteer issues in the rear?

Does Schirmer run their cars anywhere other than the Nurburgring? When you've driven it 1000 laps, you are bound be quick. Cannot find info about them racing anywhere else.
Not discrediting them, they are nice builds but from what they sell, it seems to me that their experience on the ring is the biggest secret sauce. Prices really are overblown to the point of insult.

Looks like a really nice piece with sturdy strut mounts. See the "Show Me Your Wings" thread here:

Just to let everyone know who may be wondering, Scott from AutoAttune, who is the official importer into the UK and Ireland for Team Schirmer has confirmed that Schirmer kinematics consists of this kit: https://www.teamschirmerparts.com/co...-kinematics-gt
So, here we have: Front thrust arm or traction arm bushings, Rear spring arm inner bushings, Rear spring arm outer bushings with roll centre correction, Rear adjustable toe arms. So, no magic as others have stated. No custom knuckles/uprights and no custom spring arm. Mounting points on the subframe are not changed either. The image supplied earlier from their Instagram is from one of their race GTRs and not one of the Schirmer GT track cars. Obviously, you will have to add things like the custom Nitron R3s, solid subframe bushes and a couple of other things that are available to complete the job but there's no magic here. Where the magic probably lies is in the setup at Team Schirmer in Nurburg and the precise tuning of all these parts in conjunction with each other to yield results. A few on this topic have already alluded to this but it's nice to have it confirmed. Of course, any decent shop in the US can reproduce these results with these or similar parts. I think where the expense lies in fairness to Schirmer is the fact that all of their parts are TUV approved. So you can fit these parts to your car in Germany and they will still pass the very stringent roadworthy test over there. Last edited by Mr_Reeves; 02-22-2021 at 08:10 AM.. |

I don't think they're running their cars that much lower than a lot of us. Looks like the same fender gap on similar spec wheels that I see a lot of track spec m3's have.
Question regarding the diff lift: Is there a performance benefit to this, or is it just to bring it back to factory ground clearance so they can launch the Quiddelbacher-Höhe and not wreck shit upon touch down? |

Recently went low on my car and the tech pointed out to me that my axles from the diff to the wheels now have a bit of an upward angle at static, aside from clearance I wonder if there is additional benefit to raising the diff and getting the axles flat again?
