Have you come across this at all? At first ESS told me it's normal and the car just needs to adapt. I have 1500 miles on the kit, so not an adaption issue. Then they mentioned it could be that one of the plugs could have issues until it's warmed up. Plugs were brand new, installed when the kit was installed.

Have you ever come across this?
I'm having this same issue with my G1. Idle bounces after cold start and then smooths out once it is warm. Anyone have a solution?

Idle hunt areas to look into would be typically adaptations, plugs or O2s.

First shots of the new intake plenum from ESS. Revised silicone heat exchanger hoses also included with new kits.

I experience similar on another kit. Disappears with clear premium gas, as compared to E10 premium. So adding gas quality and fuel injectors to the suggestions above.

Is there a performance benefit to the new design? It looks cleaner but also kinda boring.

A substantial amount of time was spent making improvements to the supercharger manifold, even though the previous design was already a proven solid performer.

The new manifold offers better flow and increased plenum volume, even making improvements in the velocity stacks to reduce turbulence. It benefits everyone when ESS is still taking the time to make improvements on a 15 year old platform.

I’ve got a G1.

Would ESS sell the plenum and revised hoses separately as an upgrade? Would that be worth doing or would the benefits hardly be noticeable day-to-day?

They definitely would but if you are upgrading an already installed kit I would say cost/benefit isnt worth it.

Is there a torque spec for the supercharger pulley? Replacing my tensioner soon along with the 93oct pulley and a slightly smaller belt.
