FS: Dinan Middle Racing X-Pipe

I've decided to move on to a setup with HFCs, so I'm listing my Dinan X-Pipe for sale. I am going to state it right up front, I will not be shipping the x-pipe due to the one-piece construction. It would unfortunately just be way too difficult. I'm located in the Santa Rosa area and am willing to meet within a reasonable distance in the Bay Area though.

The X-Pipe itself is in excellent shape. There is one very small dent on top of one of the resonators (circled in yellow in the pictures) and one scrape near one of the primary cats would be. Extended bolts and spacers are included for the center mount which are required for this X-Pipe due to the larger diameter than OEM.

For those that don't know, the Dinan Middle Racing X-Pipe (PN R660-0031) retailed for $2,699 new and is now discontinued. It's fully catless with four large resonators that do an excellent job at reducing rasp. I had it paired with both Dinan mufflers and Corsa mufflers, both of which sounded amazing. Note that this X-Pipe is one of the later versions from Dinan that featured reinforcements at the ends of the middle resonators due to the original version having some reports of cracking at the welds.

No it will not. There are no catalytic converters in this X-Pipe. You’d also need a stage 2 tune to avoid a check engine light.

Thank you! I will have to think about this a big more; would love to have this mate up to my DINAN. Just had my E93 and Z4M smog. The guy literally laying on the ground looking under the car

I don’t mind shipping, but given that the Dinan X-Pipe is a single piece I think it will be cost prohibitive. If you want to shoot me your zip code I’m happy to get an estimate from UPS/FedEx. Might be cheaper just to fly into SFO and take it back as oversized luggage though!

The full Dinan setup sounds phenomenal. I, like many others, have just gotten used to swapping in the stock X-Pipe for smog purposes. Somewhat annoying, but these cars sound so good uncorked that I’ll gladly make the sacrifice.

Yeah, I guess that is the only way to do it. Not too bad as we only smog every other year.

After adding in a few extra inches in all dimensions for padding and some extra weight for packing, I'm going to assume 82x30x10" for the dimensions and 40lbs for the weight. It might be overestimated, but for purposes of estimation I think this should be the high-water mark. UPS via Pirateship actually comes back much cheaper than I expected at $205.

Just throwing this out there - I'd be interested in an OEM E90 muffler (great condition and unmodified) if anyone wants to work that into a deal.
