What to do without Bluetooth

I am sure this has been asked before but I have had trouble finding the answer for some reason. I bought a car without any Bluetooth and would like to install something that is simple and not so expensive. Someone told me about The Parrot but for some reason I don’t love the look of it.

Tune2Air is a pretty good integrated solution:

I would also recommend the above and even a cheaper alternative would be a FM transmitter which is in the $20 price range but kind of dodgy sometimes.

If you have an Aux input in your glovebox, this is what I use.

And it turns out I needed this as well

Curious about the ground loop isolator for the aux input.

I've got a usb DAC running to my iPhone and connected to the aux in like you.

Lately the static has built up so much that it causes the phone to think it's disconnecting then it stops.

I wonder if that ground loop isolator will do the trick.

I had a similar issue but I don't remember if it would cause my phone to disconnect. I did have static issues and the isolator cleared it right up. And at 9 bucks, it's worth a shot.

+1 on the Tune2Air.

It automatically connects and retains all steering wheel functions, hides away in the armrest compartment, and sounds great.

Tip that some may not know:
Make sure you have at least one song in your iTunes library and synced to the phone (if you have an iPhone) in order to get the track forward and track back buttons to work.

Will this work if I don’t have any USB port?

Thank you all for your responses but after some research I think I’m gonna spend a few $ and install a Eonon GA8165A completely transform my car

Just clarify: ANY song that is in your iTunes library on your iPhone, import to car via flash USB?

Got just Tune2Air tested quickly w/o import and don't have steering wheel function.

Thanks!

You need at least 1 legit song downloaded in your iTunes library on your iPhone in order for the Track Info/Steering Wheel controls to work. (Not to the car's flash memory)

Took me awhile to figure this one out!

Also I bought this song since its a pure silent track so you don't get blasted with the first alphabetically sorted song.

+1 on the Tune2Air.

I was skeptical at first in terms of quality, but I did a back to back comparison with the T2A and plugging my phone directly to the Aux and the quality was nearly identical. I honestly didn't notice a difference.

I got an CCC idrive with only the AUX port in arm rest. Would tune2air work with just that one cord plugged in. I got bluetooth in car but it is only for calls

JL Audio bluetooth

I was researching JL audio marine speakers for my boat and came across a new bluetooth device JL audio makes( JL Audio Weatherproof Bluetooth Receiver)
that connects directly into the RCA inputs. I purchase one to see if it might work on my early 2011 non bluetooth audio E90 M3, its relatively inexpensive at approx $39, I haven't had time to install module, I hope it works.

Bluetooth Media Solution

Amazon had this for $35, it allows the OE BT interface for phone calls while simultaneously connecting for streaming music and google maps. Plugged into the USB and Aux ports in the center console. As with any interface you need to adjust the output levels or it is overdriving the preamp input and sounds like shit.

Did you buy this, and does it work? Just plug in and connect via bluetooth for music? Can you see all of the names of the songs and operate it via the iDrive and steering wheel buttons?

Need some clarification and follow up:

Does the Firefly unit allow for steering wheel controls? If not, I'll go with the Tune-2-air.

I have the Firefly. It does not allow use of steering wheel controls and no display on the iDrive.
