Good point, I am curious what the lowest mileage car is that has changed out bearings. Memory tells me the guys here think 80,000 is the fail point.

I have around 80,000 miles on both of mine. Original bearings in both. The other day I'm driving and I was positive my bearings went and the car was seizing up. I pulled over and turned the car off. When I did I looked behind me and saw a giant diesel earth mover working on a lot that they were constructing a building on. I'm getting so paranoid now that even commercials on the radio have me thinking that I'm throwing a bearing. Too funny. Sorry OP, back to selling this car.

In 2013 , a 2013 went pretty bad with a rattle noise with only 6,900 miles on it .
It was BF (bearing failure) and the S65 was replaced under BMW warranty.
After the S65 was replaced by BMW , the owner sold the car ASAP .

A German owner had BF twice , he is currently running with his third S65 .

Bearing failure definitely a real issue. I don't deny it. I'd be inclined to change them around 70-80k potentially. Also would change them if going supercharged.

Nationwide search this evening reveals ZERO space gray fox red m3 dct within 500 miles of Washington DC area, except one at EAG BMW in Ohio thats a 2011 with 44k miles for 41k.

There are a handful of space gray over black:

2011 w 69k miles for $36k
2011 w 37k miles for $38k
2012 w 36k miles for $41k
2013 w 19k miles for $46k
2013 w 20k miles for $47k
2013 w 13k miles for $47k
2013 w 17k miles for $50k

None of these cars appear to have much in the way of cosmetic improvements. I don't see OEM carbon fiber bits on any of them! I doubt any of them have service records from day 1. As a reminder I am priced at 40k with the x pipe and amp removed. Fox red beats black any day IMO- especially with carbon leather the black interior is too mundane.

Someone asked if I have a lien. I have small lien currently, but will pay it off shortly. Financing is cheap money right now

I just had the battery cable recall done last week and a full inspection at BMW.

Dude go troll on someone else's thread. This M3 is far from regular. If you have nothing good to add to this thread please go away!

Way to stick up for a member Phoenix. It's too funny, whomever that is it's the first and only post they have ever made. Not a very good first introduction. Nice car Jdub486. Hopefully will be gone soon.

Here is a new one today, no price, typical dealer B.S. ad. VIN search shows the colors. I PREFER the black interior with the Carbon Leather trim!

I have an M2 allocation available to me. Somebody move on the m3 before I decide I prefer the steering feel and throttle response of the e92 and keep it!

Bump. I will be paying off the small lien this week. M2 has been ordered. If I don't see some more activity soon I will be removing the kidney grilles, side gills, and amp dsp.

Will you be installing the amp in the M2? I would be interested in it if you are selling. But I sense a buyer is right around the corner about to message you anyway so it looks like you won't be needing to remove the Amp anyway

No, sadly it won't work on the m2. The amp/ dsp combo is the Helix Match PDP82. It only works with BMW's that have the cheap oem hi-fi system s676 option. The m2 has Harmon Kardon so this amp won't work. This is a fantastic amp dsp for cars that can use it though. In fact, it blows away every Harmon Kardon I have heard. Way more power and clarity- and 100% plug and play.

Speaker and sub upgrades also or just the amp?

Yeah the Harmon Kardon in the new cars isn't even as good as the Individual Audio in the E9x.

Boof it's designed for the stock hi-fi speakers which is how I used it. It has time alignment and dsp with a powerful equalizer. It's 8 channels with 55 watts rms power per. Some people have run aftermarket speakers like BSW. Mine is tuned for the e92, but they have custom tunes for e90, e70, etc. Anything that uses the s676 hi-fi.

I have premium sound in my E92. In my E93 I only have HiFi. So it looks like we are a match and X-Mas is coming up... So from what I'm gathering you are running the amp (plug and play) on OEM speakers and subs which you just said. I like the sound of that, amp and your done.
