I Drove This Yesterday at Mosport

I was at Mosport for the last 2 days instructing at a SVT trackdays and I got to do a 25 minute session in a stock 2011 Gt except for the installation a prototype supercharger kit with over 600 bhp.

The power is great with suprisingly linear power delivery that made the power very easy to feed in on corner exit. The car felt quite floaty at 150mph at the end of the straight compared to my M which is doing about 140mph at the same point and also lacked the steering feedback that the M has.The stock brakes worked quite well for the 25 minute session which surprised me as they were still stock pads.A few $'s spent on suspension and a proper track wheel & tire package would make a huge difference for not a lot of money!Pretty impressive for half the cost of an M in Canada.

Looks like a AA supercharger for Jay when he sees your comment that the SC power is great with suprisingly linear power delivery that made the power very easy to feed in on corner exit.

This 5.0 was not as insane as my student that had a GT500 Super Snake that was over 800bhp at the rear wheels as the the 725 BHP that was stock was not enough for himThat thing had some pretty serious grunt when he got on it with 150 mph being seen before the marshall post half way up the straight! He just wanted to go fast in a straight line

+1, except for the 68-82 Vette which was the cheesiest 2 door American car this side of an Excalibur.

Although I have to admit the new Mustang is slowly growing on me.

68-72 were ok,but the later ones with no horsepower and the rubber bumpers were turds!

To me the 68-82 were ugly cars the newer C4 ones were ok to look at, but only had about 205 hp if I remember correctly although over time they brought the old pushrod 350 up to more than 300 HP. That was good power in the early '90s. I had a version of that engine in my '96 Firebird it was fantastic other than the sound. I usually don't like the sound of American V8's.

Of course all of that is personal opinion not fact.

Fact is the new Mustang 5.0 is a hell of a performance car.

Fact is with a supercharger it must be insanely good.

In my opinion I hate retro look.

But I am beginning to hate the look less as time goes by.
