For Sale 2008 M3

Sparkling graphite exterior, fox red interior, carbon roof. 2 owner car, clean car proof no accidents, winter stored, never tracked, owned by a mature driver. I have owned the car since 2011.

The car has 106,000 km’s and the engine was replaced in late 2016. The replacement long block engine, flywheel and clutch was installed by Redline Performance in Florida. It is a 2012 engine with 35,000 miles or 55,000 kms. The engine has been upgraded with the VAC bearings and an Active Autowerks Tune. The clutch and flywheel were changed out at the time of the engine install because BMW upgraded the clutch and flywheel in 2009+ models, so I took advantage to upgrade this at that time. New engine mounts were installed at the time as well.

The original engine was replaced due to a catastrophic bottom end bearing failure. The failure was an unusual low speed engine failure that was documented on M3Post. At the time the vehicle was ESS VT1 supercharged. I went back to the normally aspirated set up when I replaced the engine. The power band is much more useable, and just felt it was safer. The car has been in storage since November 2016 and was just pulled out of storage in June. It has approximately 1500kms since the engine replacement, which I have done as a shakedown. I have all documentation related to the engine including Carfax, VIN, receipts, documentation and pictures.

Well, I'm just finishing up a few things, but I will begin parting out the car in the next couple weeks.
