If you're going to buy the car anyways, why pay more interest for a longer period of time?
You're paying interest on that balloon amount.

because im 21 years old and i live with my parents, i make $3000 a month. i have no expenses except my gas. i cant afford to purchase a car that cost $70,000 but i can afford $850 a month to drive a beautiful 2016 M3 made in Germany by my specification.

$3,000 before or after taxes? Do you have to pay for insurance too?

Do you plan to live with your parents for the entire duration of your 6 year car loan? Are your circumstances going to change in those six years to the point that you can no longer afford it? Or worse, you are unable to make a lifestyle change because you are paralyzed by a car payment. What if you meet a girl and you guys want your own place? Being able to afford a car payment and being able to afford a car are not the same thing. In a few years you will be kicking yourself for not putting most or all of that money into savings. I'm not saying all this to be negative. If I could go back in time and take my own advice my house would be paid off right now.

You live with your parents at 21 years old, and want to buy a $70,000 car when you make $3000 a month in income (presumably before taxes) effectively making 1/3rd of your income going toward transportation? Oh this is getting good. I will be sure to check back and see what else you post.

Unless you want to live with your parents for the next 6 years, dont buy a new M3. I wouldnt even buy an E90 in your situation unless I could get one for under $30k. You will regret it, trust me. Here is what I see happening: assuming anyone will even finance you (doubtful) you will either get bored with the car, get tired of the payment, or your circumstances will change within 2 years tops, and you will find you still owe $63k on the car because most of that 850 a month for the first 2 years of payments went toward interest. car will be worth $55k and you wont be able to get out of it because youre upside down. so the car will either get repo'd ruining your credit, or you will trade it in for a 30k car that you will be financing $40k on, making your situation even worse. ive made my fair share of dumb car decisions. i can see where this one is going already.

For $3k a month you could prob get a GT3 or something much better than an M3. Hell maybe you should just get a Ferrari and go into greater debt. After all, you are going to be handed a successful company soon so it's smart to prepare by living the high life.

No offense, but I doubt anyone on here is jealous. Its great for you that you are supposedly taking over a successful business in a few years (congrats, I guess) but no one cares.

Do it do it!

I probably would lease a car I don't mind driving for a couple of years until I take over the company... But I've spent on things I shouldn't have before. Just not to your scale!

Im looking to buy a m3 with the performance package (carbon fiber roof etc) but it seems like theres only one for sale in a 500 mile radius from me. this car has 66k miles and this what my post is about. how many miles will a well maintained oiled m3 engine last?

also, should i go with a car with lower miles in the 20-30k range and forget about the performance package and go with the safer buy.

thank you in advance

My buddy has a 08 M3 and I believe he's just over 140k. He has never replaced anything on his car except for a spark plug and a battery.

$3k a month is nothing especially for a 21 yrs old with no long term career credentials and an LLC family business shipping cars and whatnot to russia.

Definitively you should buy a Ferrari, i mean anyone with an llc owns at least a maserati or two. And with that kind of business "someone" could ship it to russia if they come after your assets. Who knows maybe you can connect with people that "help" some "found" new cars deals find new owners in russia.

Lighten up buddy. Your naïveté and arrogance is well noted as well. Perhaps if you are still on this forum years from now you will look back and laugh at the ridiculousness of your OP. Word of advise like others have stated, don't buy a $70k car when you are 21 and living at home. Good things come to those who wait.
