18x10/11 et25 tire choice

I just received my Apex EC7s in 18x10/11 et25

Currently have a set of Conti ECS 275/35/18s on my current wheels. Conti makes a 295/35, would this be a weird rear fitment? Checking diameters, it looks to be the same deviance as the stock wheel diameters.

Stock EDC suspension for now, BTW. Plan to go coilovers at some point this year.

Edit: I will be in the market for a 100-200TW tire moving foward(and once my M3 isn't a daily) Anyone with this same wheel setup have suggestions on a size combo/brand that has worked good? Nothing in 275/295 in that TW range

I had that set up on my E92 when I first got it. The tire set up was 275/295. Had a small 2 or 3 mm spacers up front. Nothing on the back. The Michelin pilot sport 4s is a damn good tire. Cant really go wrong with a Michelin.

thanks - I'll be sticking with my ECS for now, since I have plenty of life left on my 275s.

If I do switch them out, it'll be for something for track-focused

Have you considered 265/35 & 295/30? Cup 2 or A052 are both good options.

I eventually plan to do go A052. I did end up putting on the 295/35s, as I LOVE the ECS.. the car is still a daily. I plan to get a daily in the next 6 months, and to do 3 more track events. Then I may be ready for a stickier tire.

Do not recommend A052 for track use on stock suspension.

Great to hear this has worked out for you. I am also looking to move to a 275/35 and 295/35 X 18 set up on mine shortly as these sizes are more closely matched to the OEM wheel/tire circumferences.

I have run 265/35/18 and 285/35/18, 265/35/18 and 295/35/18, and am now running 265/35/18 and 285/30/18. The shorter sidewall in the rear is like going from a 3.85 to a 4.10 diff in a 6MT car, which adds about 6.5% torque. The ride quality is worse, though.
