Garage List
The e9x generation of M3's is unique. Different than the e46 and the f80 platforms. It's all about the sound and responsiveness of its motor. The heart of every BMW is its motor; after all it's the middle name of the company.

Beyond that, to me e9x is the final iteration of "old school" BMW's. The ultimate driving experience that brought a generation of hard-core enthusiasts to the brand. It was those enthusiasts that built the BMW reputation. After the e9x M3, in my view, new products were aimed for a different market.

I agree Three Pedal Steve. When I think about what this engine cost to develop and build, with all the unique top drawer pieces you need in a V8 that revs to 8200 rpm, I wonder how they ever justified it. Perhaps a renegade group of engineers decided to rebel against the weird stuff Bangle was doing at the time and build this killer.

From your sig line, if you bought a 2002 new in 1971, you must be near my stage of old crockery.

Welcome back to BMW! Only took you 3 years longer then me to come to your senses ...

My journey away from BMW included a brand new 2017 VW GLI but it was a trip down to BMW Performance Center recently which caused me to hit the nuclear "M" button, and as you can see I did OK in my return

Congrats and looking forward to additional updates!

But then the X5 kept having major issues every month so I traded it in for an F82 and used the Abarth as a daily.

It handled well and was a nice car but I couldn't get over the artificial steering feel and terrible exhaust (tried 7 different set ups/burble tunes to try and rectify it). You'd think I'd trade in the F82 for an E92 but I actually traded it in for a Tesla Model X

but then the Abarth started to fall apart (it was nearing 90k miles and we all know that's like 500k in Fiat miles) so I traded it in for my current e92 (kept Tesla as a daily.) Now here I am full circle!

We knew you'd be back. Quick, OG's sell your car's now!

Seriously tho, I regret selling mine too. Not that I hate my current car, just that I sold a fantastic 3 pedal, 8400 rpm, V8. I mean, I must be brain damaged or something.

You hate the M6 GC? That was on my short list if I cant find an E90 manual which is seeming very difficult.

E92 M3 + F06 M6 is my dream combo. And maybe a E46 CSL clone.
