Remember, I'm not trying to set HPDE lap records every time I go out like you young whippersnappers. Getting that last tenth is hard on the brakes, especially since it can result in over braking (or romping and stomping if you're into the red mist chasing down the ar in front of you).

I meant a more experienced driver who's more in tune with things can brake less and brake smoother, putting less wear on than a less experienced driver who may be harder on equipment. For a while I was trying to figure out late braking and slamming hard on brakes. I got smoother recently with brake engagement! |

Surprisingly, I run with Euro MDM on. It activates for me when I reverse into my parking spot at work, but yeah, I actually am a wuss and use (modded) nannies.
And did you just call me old?

Just got three bottles of this stuff. Read the first line. I'm not at the HPDE to have fun.

^ I switched from SRF to Endless as well.
One of the things I don't like about SRF is that its silicone based. Here is an interesting fluids review. https://thebuildjournal.com/tech-gui...view-analysis/

What's wrong with a fluid being silicone based? (I have no idea)
Did you guys notice a firmer pedal?

I know there are lots of guys here using SRF with no issues, so hard to say if it's really a problem or not. Normally I noticed no difference in firmer pedal when running typical 20 - 25 min. HPDE Sessions. When we are at Watkins Glen we run 40 min sessions and noticed a difference. The Glen is also a harder braking track than what I normally run. (Mosport)

Yea, it's hard to say... maybe years and years of silicone exposure can start to degrade, but by then, it's time to rebuild anyways. Sometimes things like that need context, and it's just something I know nothing about.
The testers in the study noted a firmer pedal with the endless. I'm happy with SRF, but that is an interesting study.

Yes it is interesting, but one thing that's missing is how they collected data.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

500mL, which is half the size of the SRF bottle.

Love this stuff. Even Motul 600 wouldnt hold a candle and I would get it all mushy when pushing 9.9/10 (this is a time trial car which I would run in open track as well). For most stock caliper/rotor application, I have found fluid to be the weakest link (assuming you are on track pads). Even on the M3 when it was a DD, nothing worked better than the SRF; once a year flush as safety. On the M3 I boiled the fluid and it got a fair bit mushy but surprisingly "came back". Fluid did check out a bit dark during power flush but that was pushing it for a long time on the track with a passenger.

Used Endless last weekend. I got second place in the instructor run group (passed by a ZL1 1LE), and won the advanced. Lap after lap the pedal was exactly where I wanted it. Ran an extended session and the brakes didn't fade until about 35 minutes in. Track was Putnam Park, front straight speed is ~130mph into a fast sweeper (min ~85mph).
I'm on freshly rebuild stock calipers with two piece rotors and DTC-60's. This was the first time in about a year I've ran a DE where I didn't complain about the brakes.
