QC C&C Saturday, June 3
Hi all,
This site is still showing cars & coffee at the Galleria on June 3 - but this site and the FB Page make it appear that there is not a venue. Is there a cars & coffee on Saturday? I'd love to bring the M3 out for the first time. Anyone think they want to get together near Blakeney and drive over - or just go somewhere on our own if there is no official event? |

Galleria is done, they lost that location in April. Per the Instagram page, the June event will be held this coming weekend at the old Coliseum parking lot, off Tyvola. 135 Hive Dr, Charlotte, 28217

Now I really don't understand how have I've never seen your M3 around, haha, I work 1.5 miles away from the new location over in Lake Pointe.

I went, and had fun. BIG turnout, very eclectic group of people and cars, which is as a cars & coffee should be. I'm pretty jaded so I don't photograph much at shows any more, but here's a few views and cars that caught my eye.
The only shots I took of the big lot were by pure chance located at Nissan Central: M3's surrounded by Mustangs and Mitsu's: I was parked across the aisle next to an NA MX-5 (all you see in the shot is it's pop-up headlamp shadow): Yeah yeah, I know that MX-5's are not rare at all but this one was in remarkable condition for an NA, had Wilwood BBK and was still running a classic Jackson Racing SC. Cool, knowledgeable owner too. Funny also how huge the E90 M3 looks next to the Miata (and how tall next to the C7 'Vette!): So much fun to see old and new juxtaposed with each other. Note the Dakar E36 M3 hiding in plain view in this shot: Exotics don't usually excite me much, but I did enjoy seeing a new NSX in the flesh with an old one in the background (next to the Esprit): ...and I have personal experience with Nobles. Plus, you certainly don't see them every day, so two at once is interesting: The handiwork on this blew me away. It deserved a few photos. Sorry about not getting the whole Interlagos E92 in the shot - was deliberately avoiding photographing license plates: Sometimes quirky classics are more fun than high-tech modern. I loved this Fiat X1/9 - haven't seen one of them that wasn't a non-running rusted pile of junk since around 1985! Loved this 240Z as well: Always nice to see a clean RHD Mini: I'll end with a shot of someone's well-kept 1st gen of the venerable M5, the E28. Kudos to the owner for keeping it so presentable! |

Thanks for posting. Enjoyed the photos. I will try to make it out for July. Did you pick that e90 up from Hendrick last year ? I saw a nice MR e90 on their lot about a year ago. Love the MR color.

Thanks! Mine is not from Hendrick. I searched for about a year before this one popped up on the West Coast. Had it shipped here in an enclosed trailer. What made it hard to find was that I demanded a LCI car in red with ZCP and 6MT. If my math is right that means I was looking for one of roughly 37 cars in North America. I had almost lost hope!
