Movie - 32 hrs 7 minutes

I did a search and was surprised that this movie was not talked about here.

It about the race after the cannon ball runs were stopped. This is called the US express and happen in the 80's is it a documentary about the people who ran the race in the 83's and set the coast to coast record of 32 hrs and 7 minutes. Well some guys in a M5 set out to see if the could break it back in 2007. You can down load the movie online if you want.

On their first attempt the M5 broke down and got towed to a BMW dealer and the dealer call the police on them due to all the stuff they had in the car.

I watch the documentary. The idea was brilliant and I'm sure the footage is there to make it great but it was terribly put together and narrated. It felt like a film from the 90s. Better off reading the book though.

The book Kwando is making reference too is called "The Driver" http://www.amazon.com/dp/0061374997. One of the best car book I've ever read, and it is about that race. Epic.

I just love all the drama around this. The movie was made to prove that 32 hours was in fact possible in spite of all the people saying it could not be done. Now this movie has all its own drama around it.

What I learned from the movie was the way they were able to do it was due to the fact they hired planes as spotters for drive during the day, which explains how they avoid the police so well.

I watched this tonight. I've somewhat participated in the driving (transport) stints on the One Lap of America years ago so this was pretty entertaining to me.
Enjoyed the documentary, thanks for the tip.
