how long it take to turn CEL off after the tune.

I just load the AA tune to my car, and after some driving, the CEL still on. So I'm not sure the tune is working or not, as I can only feel a little difference on the throttle response.

Did you use AA's Simon flash tool? If you did the CEL will turn off after the fourth start.

It's because the DME has a tuner lock and the flash tool creates a false CEL when a tune is loaded.

Yes I use the Simon tool. I tried few times. but it is still on.

I think you have to wait a few minutes with the motor running before turning off and on again.

If it was already on then you'll have to clear the fault(s) with a scan tool. The four-start trick only works after loading a tune if no CEL was on when the tune was loaded.

Good to know. i thought the tune cleared the CEL. So then a tune only PREVENTS a CEL to come on?

I would think that a good tune would prevent the specific CEL by checking every startup for that code and clearing it instantly.
