Badge on the back looks idiotic.
Badge of the fenders looks stupid and cheap. Hood will look like it is open to 90% of people that see it. That's my knee-jerk reaction. Last edited by Singletrack; 08-28-2009 at 03:22 PM.. |

I'd rather be on a Cayenne GTS or Turbo

I think many things look a bit weird on this car but with the guys like Nate@IND and others I am sure it can get to where it should be in the first place ...

Saw a IB X5M by Grand Ave. /Chestnut Ridge Road on it's way back to BMWNA by Woodcliff Lake. I was kind of disappointed at it's appearance. It's vanilla compared to the Cayenne GTS and Turbo/S. Aside from the front air dams and the quad exhaust, it doesn't really stand out from the regular X5.

The wheels are fail wheels. Regular X5 rims w/ sport package look better.

I dont think they are allowed to sell it. My dealership hasnt even gotten any X5s in stock yet to show off!
Agree with others here, the silverstone just isnt doing it for me.

nice car but no thanks... i think it looks awful in general. oh and for such a large car, they really need larger exhaust tips.

Looks like its time for me to go to the dealership and take a testdrive ! haha. I was on the highway yesterday and drove past a truck with a couple of X5M's on it. Thought I was just seeing things at first because I didn't know they were hitting the dealerships already. But yeah, not a fan of the x5m but the x6m doesn't look too bad. Just gotta go in to see for myself!

I saw both the X5 and X6 M's being built at the Spartansburg factory a couple of weeks ago when I attended M school, they had a crap load of them in there. IMHO the X6 M was hands down much better looking, the wheels are a much better design than the ones in the X5 M, and just the overall look of the car with the M body fits the X6 a lot better.
I think the X6 M is supposed to approach or be over $100K well optioned!! there is no denying that with 555HP and 500 lb-ft of torque this thing is a true beast, but you can only fit like 4 people in it, doesn't have a particular large amount of cargo space + that butt is freaking huge I guess to each it's own but frankly I don't really get either one of these M "SAV's"... |

The Cayenne Turbo S...has the crown as the best suv
but the X6M is probably the vehicle that would throw it off its throne... not the X5M..i hope they put some better wheels on that one...otherwise people are just going to |

Saw the X5 M in person today at the dealer. Looked way better than the pics I saw online. Maybe it was because I wasn't expecting but it was better than I thought. I like the front and sides the backs was kinda fugly. The interior was ok and I don't like the wheels. It was the first time I've seen Le Mas it was nice a lot brighter than I thought. Real cool color what love to see a M3 in it.
