Hope you all get good weather. We cancelled on the PDS event this weekend due to the risk of freezing rain and towing.

Wow. Didn't see that bus coming. As always, happy to tow you around the track while you are catching rays in the vert.

Picked up my new EC-7s wrapped with NT-01s yesterday! I'm stoked!!
FWIW, I bought track insurance thru OnTrackInsurance.com $36K of coverage for just $225. Should sleep better Friday night! Mike |

:-(
I left home at 4am to drive through for a weather could not have been better track day and then halfway to College Station, in the middle of nowhere, car goes into limp mode. After restart it's fine and then three-five minutes later, limp mode again. Of course, that is also the day I forgot code reader at home :-( After happening about 10 times I had to abort mission and limp home...Bwhaaaah!!!
Anyway, turned out to be error on brake vacuum line sensor, but in stead of a wonderful track day, I ended up at home sulking all day. Hope everyone else had a great day to make up for my sucky one... |

Tim Strehl runs a 2:05 in his X5M when he decides to leave the P cars at home. There are a whole lot of folks that have never come close to a 2:05.

I'm pretty sure I ran some pb, but didn't run any data acquisition. I am, however, 100% sure I spun my car for the first time ever haha
I also had an awesome time out there and want to thank everyone for a fun, well organized and safe event! And kudos to my buddy in the 1m, we had some great battles out there! Good times! Hopefully some of the guys taking pics will post them up soon! |

As for the event itself, as I always say......I work hard along with Richard and James so that you guys get to enjoy the event. The best part for me is not the actual driving, it's the comments I hear from the beginner/novice group after their time on the track. Track days have increased in popularity greatly in past 3 years or so. I'm just glad the Houston M Club can provide a way for the average driver to experience the sport and learn what high performance driving is all about. As a club, we'll continue to put on events as long as we have the participation and support to do so. Oh yeah, let me give a quick shout out to our instructors.......these guys do a fantastic job at every event. .................Phil

That's not bad for a 99.999% stock, +400 pound extra-weight convertible. Everything felt dialed-in on the car -- tires, right air pressures, MDM, etc. It was just great. And the weather -- wow. Maxed out at 128 mph on the straight, and with the top-down and all that wind going to the sides -- frakkin "yeah!" I've got pretty good video both front and rear views of many people in the Intermediate group -- will spend time in the next couple of weeks and do a composite video. If you were in that group, check back here around the first week of February for a YouTube or DropBox posting. Thanks again to Phil and Richard and James, and the instructors. - V .

It took me forever to get this done... I've got an old MacMini 2009 and it just can't keep up with the super-high resolution of the new GoPro. So...anyhow, here's a first video. There's three scene selections where there's good views of cars tailing me.
(there are no videos shooting forward because nobody was ever in front of me..... LOl. right.) - V .
