I have a set of Dinan lowering springs for sale. I bought these off a forum member who barely used them, and I never got around to installing them. The kit comes with everything you need to install these, it's in great condition.

Asking 330 shipped, what I paid.

E90, E92 and E93 all had different spring rates.

Can you find part numbers printed on them?

The E90 and E92 use the same springs. The E93's are different. At least that is how it is with my Swift springs.

Interesting. I know we are talking about Dinan but I wonder why Dinan has different part numbers but Swift, Eibach, and H&R all use the same # for the E90/E92? I wonder if it has more to due with different drop heights rather than spring rates. I learned something new today.

Dinan springs
E92 drop 0.5" front and 0.5" rear
E90 drop 0.5" front and 0.5" rear
E93 drop 0.875" front and 0.75" rear

Eibach
E92 drop 0.8" front and 0.6" rear
E90 drop 0.8" front and 0.6" rear
E93 drop 1.0" front and 0.6" rear

As you can see, the drop for the E93 is larger than for the E90 and E92, the spring rates are different as well.

Also, the E92 is actually heavier and more floppy/flexible than the more rigid chassis on the E90 due to the lack of B-pillar on the E92.

The springs manufacturers likely assumed these differences were negligible and lumped the E90 and E92 together to save on production costs, but couldn't do so for the E93 due to its weight difference exceeding whatever margin they came up with for their planned drop/rate.

Dinan calculated the drop/rates specific to each model for optimal performance. Just another example of Dinan's perfectionism imo.

Check for part numbers on the actual springs.

Great info as I'm in the process of researching for springs for my e93 with a minimum drop.

Minimum drop would be Dinan, they also have a spring rate designed specifically for the E93.

Dinan would also be most comfortable given that they are progressive (like Eibach).

H&R and Swift are even lower, and have a linear spring rate (not progressive), so feel a little harsher, even at small bumps in the road.

I honestly cannot find a part number on any of the parts except the spring perches, which do not come up with any results.

I had the same issue a few months back so I sent a picture of the springs to Dinan support and they were able to identify them.

If the photos on the Dinan website are accurate, these springs look more like the ones pictured in the E92 photo.

… just count the number of coil loops.
