Here are some pictures of my all red E92. I ordered the car at the end of July last year and it was supposed to be fully loaded and have the extended Fox Red and Premium Sound but for some reason it didn't come through that way. But it turned out great anyway and I am truly in love with this car

^ Daring choice! It's a shame it didn't come through as you ordered it, but glad you enjoy it just the same. You still might be able to "add" the extended. I think someone on the forum changed out or added an extended interior. I couldn't find the link. It would be interesting...the triple red threat.

The Euro seat bottoms have the extra detailing, the US ones do not.

Apparently BMW thinks Americans need more ass room compared to the Euro counterparts, thus the lack of bolstering/detail on our seat bottoms.

So heres a question im hoping one of you Fox Red experts can answer. I have an E93 on order (SS/FR). Im weeks away from PCD. Id like to know if the seat backs are black or red. I did NOT order extended leather. My kids will be in the back periodically and black seat backs would be so much more user friendly than red. Ive seen pics in this thread with both black seatbacks and red. Im a bit confused.

Anyone?

i have extended leather and my seat backs are black hard plastic material. around the black is the red leather though but 90% of the seat back is black hard case material

mine is a coupe and a 08, not sure if the sedan or vert or newer year makes a difference

Not positive, but I'm pretty sure the 330d will have a different red. My buddy has an AW 335 with red interior, but it's not the same as fox red.

orange or brown

I'm definitely getting space gray. I had decided that I would get black leather because I like it, it's safe, and I haven't found FR IRL to check out. Now, I'm starting to feel perhaps an all black interior is a little too boring and that SG w/ FR would be a nice combination.

So, a couple of questions for people that own or have seen a lot of FR:

1) If you have to choose, is FR closer to orange or brown. I realize there's a bit of each ... but if you had to choose what would you say?

2) Is the M3 the only car that FR is available on? I'm trying to see if there are other models on which I could search for the color at local dealer lots.

3) How close is the photo below to being the true FR?

The colour can be dependent on the lighting and pictures don't necessarily do it justice alot of the time, best to see it in person!

I wouldn't make that distinction - it's terra cotta, which is a brown orange red, or red orange brown.

I believe it is the only model with that color option. You can try contacting your local BMW CCA and see if they know of anyone local with one.

That is one of the best renditions I've seen.

Go for it - it's great and gets lots of compliments. Killer with Space Gray - that was my other choice I kept going back and forth on with Alpine.

thanks guys, I finally found a used 2008 m3 on a local dealer lot w/ FR. the dealer has it listed as dream red but i don't think that color was offered in 2008 and the photos look way too close to FR. now i can finally see it IRL.
