WTB: Low Mileage LeMans Blue 6MT E92 M3

I’ve been on the market for a few months now and recently for one reason or the other, cars that I’ve found have slipped away.

So I figured I’d post this wanted ad to see if anything matching my criteria pops up.

As the title says I am on the market for a low mileage LeMans Blue E92 M3, but I will also consider Interlagos Blue.

Must haves:

• E92
• 2011+
• Low mileage, under 40k
• Manual transmission
• CF Roof
• Competition package
• EDC
• Must be a clean example and meticulously maintained
• Maintenance records (if DIY, receipts for parts/work done etc)
• Clean title, no previous accidents etc
• Leather interior

Preferable:

• Black interior, will also consider Fox Red or Palladium Silver
• Rod bearings done with proof
• Little to no mods

Bonus:

• Original owner

I appreciate what I am looking for may take some time to find, but I’ve been down the road of rushing purchases before and I’m willing to wait for and pay for the right car.

I’m located in SWFL, and I’m a serious buyer, so I expect serious sellers, please don’t waste my time with cars that don’t at least meet the must have criteria.

There aren't too many blue cars in the wild, especially LMB. Interlagos was the more common color, outselling Lemans Blue by about 3:1, and even that is hiding these days. On top of that, you're looking for a 6MT, so you're basically on a hunt for something as hard to find as a polite person in a DMV office. Its a rough thing to hear, but... have a seat and wait for your number to be called...

I know it has Bamboo, but give it a chance:

I think this one has your major requirements:

2008 M3 Coupe / Interlagos on Black / manual 39.5k miles / $29,900 / Illinois


Too bad you don't want DCT - this one looks pretty good:

I shopped 6 months before picking up my 2010 LMB e92 with DCT. Mine had 75k miles when I got it.

Ultimately I sacrificed the 6MT for color. Sometimes I wish I had a manual, but I never wish I picked a different color.

There's only a few hundred LMB e92 M3s out there.

I'm on 4 months and counting. I've managed to find two, one sold the very same day I found it, and the other, the owner had a change of heart, can't blame him.

I'll probably sacrifice a bit on the mileage, but it has to be 6MT for me.

Not helpful but I sold a 43k mile LeMans BLue E92 6MT a few years ago. Whoops.

I got lucky, I went online to look for an LB E90 6MT slicktop randomly one day, found it and had to buy it. lol

Lucky. How long ago was that?

After a few months in the search bag, I am starting to lose hope of finding one with low mileage.

If I stumble upon one that is super clean with a bit higher mileage, I'll probably pull the trigger, at least until one with low mileage does surface.

I spent 14 months before I found the exact car I had pictured in my mind. When it rolled off the enclosed carrier I knew that I could have had any car I wanted, but this was the one I'd be pissed about if I saw it drive past me while I was getting into any other E92.

I have been shopping for other generation M3s lately to replace cars I once had. I have seen a lot of low mile (<55k) E46 come up in the past 6 months, including some fairly rare combinations. There's been a small but steady supply of E36 as well, some with mileage in the teens. If low mile cars are appearing in 15-25 year old M3s, I would think you'll find the E9x that is what you want - assuming you know what you want, that is - at some point.

I won't stop searching for the exact car I want. That's a given.
But if something pops up that's almost there, I'll get it until, "The One" surfaces.

Problem is I sold my last M3 too soon, I thought I'd be able to cope with the M-itch while I searched for a replacement, but it's more difficult than I anticipated.

Update: I managed to pick up a 2012 LeMans Blue 6mt zcp completely stock.
Only downsides, bamboo interior which I'm not the biggest fan of and at 72,000miles, much higher mileage than I wanted, but the car is very clean and has been well maintained.

It's by no means my 'perfect' car, but its 1/2 way there, and will give me the opportunity to get used to the E92 platform whilst my search continues, so at least I'll be entertained.

Thanks to everyone that helped thus far and for all those that reached out to me, had some very good offers popping up.

My search goes on, and I've updated the original post to reflect my exact specifications.
