UPATE 2: I didn't look closely enough at the shark fin CF Wrap. Well, because of the directional CF weave pattern, the
wrap at the back of the shark fin looks like the XMAS gift wrapping on a football. Here are some tips to fix this.
- Try two CF sheets on each side of the shark fin, with the weave patterns aligned to the roof. Then add a small piece of gloss black on the back of the shark fin.
- If you have a black or gunmetal car, just use a clear gloss or matte PPF for the shark fin. For other bright colors, see below.
- Everyone loves the frozen paints on BMWs and M-B cars. So go with a frozen black metallic or frozen gunmetal wrap
for the shark fin. A brushed aluminum gloss or matte black metallic or gunmetal wrap would also look cool. The CF wrap has black and dark grays in the pattern, so any dark colored black/gray wrap would blend in nicely on the shark fin. XPEL Stealth is a matte PPF that can be applied over a glossy wrap for a frozen look.

BMW F30 335i Estoril Blue now has a 3M Glossy Carbon Fiber Roof Wrap. Looks very close to the 1x1 M3/M4 real carbon fiber roof. Added ceramic coating on top of the CF roof wrap. Needed to buy new primed OEM roof rails and had them painted gloss black, plus added ceramic coating. Car has a sunroof. Had the shark fin wrapped in CF too.

NOTE: Don't buy the Autotecknic CF shark fin cover, since the CF weave doesn't match the CF vinyl.

Next up this summer, the BMW E90 Interlagos Blue/Fox Red Sedan will be getting a 3 Stage Paint Correction, XPEL PPF, and OptiCoat Plus Ceramic Coating.

In general, there are a number of 3M and Avery Dennison Carbon Fiber Wraps. You can have your shop order 12x12 " samples. The best CF vinyl has a small 1x1 pattern for large exterior areas. For interiors, you might like the 2x2 CF pattern either in a matte textured wrap or a glossy 2x2 wrap. Textured matte CF vinyl gets dirty and is hard to clean.
