i just ordered a 2011 e92 m3 with space gray and black novillo leather. I had the aluminum trim in my soon-to-be-old 335i but i opted for the black carbon leather. some ppl say that it makes the interior a little too dark but i actually really like it. However, i chose the sunroof vs. the cf roof and I usually leave the sliding door open so that does serve to brighten the interior up somewhat.
get 35% tints all around - that's what i'm doing! |

I save SG with palladium silver interior(Spelling?) and carbon leather. With a light color interior it should be just fine

I have the aluminium trim w/ my black interior but the contrast with the black is what I like. Don't think the aluminium would look good w/ bamboo, go with the carbon fiber.

Space Grey on Bamboo is very Euro. Congrats for being different. My Sapce Grey has black interior with the Sycamore and it looks hot. Looks like snake skin. And it's M exclusive as well. That would be my choice.

SG and Bamboo will look great. SG is one of those colors that'll go with anything and the bamboo will contrast beautifully. The carbon trim will bring a bit of the SG color into the interior so don't be shy; go for it!!!

I always go for M specific trim; carbon leather.
All others look like normal BMW wood/aluminum trim to the untrained eye.

That would looks pretty terrible.
I'd do Carbon Leather with your interior.

I had alum in my 335 and although it went nice with the coral and IMO was a better option then any of the woodgrains, I would never consider it against the Carbon leather. I was worried too that it would make the dash look to dark but once I got it, I think it actually looks cool! I have 5% tint on my windows so at night, the cabin is so dark except the red illuminations everywhere that the dash looks like it was floating. Plus, everybody who rides in my car loves it. They often say "wow what is this? I have never seen this in any other car!"
My family and friends didnt like the combo until they seen it in person on my car. Now everybody loves it! Here is a pict I found that helped me decide....

With bamboo, I'd pick carbon leather trim. The aluminum only goes well with black or gray interior. I have aluminum on black.
Just in case you're not settled on bamboo yet...
