Stickypod dash camera mount - anyone used, should I get a Bogen/Manfrotto head?
I just ordered one of these:
http://www.stickypod.com/stickypod_dash_cam.html as a space-efficient way to mount my Canon VIXIA HD video cam to the dash of my M3 E92 - ED - so I can get some footage driving around Europe [1] Has anyone worked w/ this set-up? Have read some good reviews and I like the compactness of this version. May get an external mount later if this goes well/ [2] Would any recommend using a Bogen/Manfrotto video head? Model? The VIXIA is fairly compact but may be useful to have the quick release (avoid theft) as well as be able to adjust the angle more finely. I'm especially concerned about compactness of the mount as the windshield is sharply-raked. [I use a Bogen/Manfrotto rig for my SLRs - love it)
